Publication: Âvânzâde Mehmed Süleymân’ın kadın saçları adlı eseri (İnceleme, metin, dizin, tıpkıbasım)
Abstract
Bu çalışma 20. yüzyılda yaşamış olan eczacı, yazar ve çevirmen Âvânzâde Mehmed Süleymân'ın Kadın Saçları isimli eseri üzerinedir. Âvânzâde Mehmed Süleyman'ın Hicri 1335/ Miladi 1917 yılında Kader Matbaasında basılmış saç bakımı, sağlığı, uzatılması, dökülmemesi ve boyanmasından bahseden Kadın Saçları başlıklı eseri bu tezin çalışma konusudur. Eser, 55 sayfadan oluşmaktadır. Eserde yer alan başlıklardan bazıları şunlardır: Saçları Temizlemek İçin Tertîb, Saçların Ağarması, Sukût-ı Eş'âr, Saç Boyaları ve Bunlardan Mütevellid Arızalar, Saçkırana Karşı İlaç, Saç ve Sakal Çıkarmak İçin Tertib, Kınadan Nasıl İstifade edilir?... Eserde saçlar özellikle tıbbi açıdan ele alındığı için, yapılan çalışmanın tıp terimleri, bitki isimleri, hastalık isimleri gibi geniş bir yelpazede alana katkı sağlayacağı öngörülmektedir. Çalışma; Giriş, İnceleme, Metin, Dizin ve Tıpkıbasım olmak üzere beş bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde 20. yüzyıl Osmanlı tıbbının özellikleri, eserin müellifinin hayatı ve eserleri hakkında bilgi verildikten sonra çalışmanın konusu olan Kadın Saçları isimli tıp metninde geçen terimler sınıflara ayrılarak incelenmiştir. Metin bölümünde eser çeviri yazıya aktarılmıştır. Kelimelerin imlası noktasında günümüzde yaygın olarak kullanılmayan kelimeler Kubbealtı Lugatı esas alınarak yazılmıştır. Günümüzde sıklıkla kullanılan kelimeler içinse Türk Dil Kurumu sözlüğünden faydalanılmıştır. Dizin bölümünde çeviri yazıya aktarılmış olan sözcükler alfabetik olarak sıralanıp metinde kullanıldıkları bağlama göre anlamları verilmiştir. Yabancı kökenli kelimelerin hangi dile ait oldukları italik olarak belirtilmiştir. Son olarak Tıpkıbasım bölümünde eserin orijinal nüshasının İ.B.B. Atatürk Kitaplığı Koleksiyonuna 615.5 AVA arşiv numarasıyla kayıtlı kopyası sunulmuştur.
This study is based on the work of Avanzade Mehmed Suleyman, a pharmacist, writer, and translator who lived in the 20th. century, called Women's Hair. Avanzade Mehmed Süleyman's work titled Women's Hair, which was published in Kader Printing House in Hijri 1335/ Gregorian 1917, talks about hair care, health, extension, non-shedding, and dyeing, is the subject of this thesis. The work consists of 55 pages. Some of the titles included in the work are: Formula for Cleaning Hair, Graying of Hair, Hair Loss, Hair Dyes and Accidents Caused by Them, Medicine Against Ringworm, Formula for Removing Hair and Beard, How to Use Henna?... Since the work deals with hair, especially from a medical point of view, it is anticipated that the study will contribute to a wide range of fields such as medical terms, plant names, and disease names. The study consists of five parts: Introduction, Review, Text, Index, and Facsimile. In the introduction section, after giving information about the characteristics 20th. century Ottoman medicine, the life, and works of the author of the work, and the terms mentioned in the medical text called Women's Hair, which is the subject of the study, were divided into classes and examined. In the text section, the translation of the work has been transferred to the manuscript. At the point of spelling of words, words that are not widely used today are written based on Kubbealtı Lugati. For the words that are frequently used today, the Turkish Language Institution dictionary has been used. In the index section, the words that have been translated into translation are sorted alphabetically and their meanings are given according to the context in which they are used in the text. The words of foreign origin are indicated in italics to which language they belong. Finally, in the facsimile section, a copy of the original copy of the work registered with the archive number 615.5 AVA was presented to the Collection of the İ.B.B, Ataturk Library.
