Okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin benlik saygılarının öğretmenlik tutumlarına etkisinin incelenmesi

Abstract

OKUL ÖNCESİ ÖĞRETMENLERİNİN BENLİK SAYGILARININ ÖĞRETMENLİK TUTUMLARINA ETKİSİNİN İNCELENMESİ Bu araştırmada okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin benlik saygılarının öğretmenlik tutumlarına etkisi incelenmiştir. Araştırmada, Bilgin (1995) tarafından hazırlanmış Okul Öncesi Öğretmenleri için Öğretmenlik Tutum Ölçeği ve Arıcak (1999) tarafından hazırlanmış, Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Okul Öncesi Öğretmenleri için Tutum Ölçeği ve Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği 2007–2008 öğretim yılının ikinci yarısında İstanbul ilinde görev yapan 307 okul öncesi öğretmeni tarafından doldurulmuştur. Okul Öncesi Öğretmenleri Tutum Ölçeği ve Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği alt boyutlarının yaş, mezun olunan kurum, alınan maaşı yeterli bulma, medeni durum, öğretmenlik mesleğini isteyerek seçme, öğretmenlik mesleğinden memnun olma, alınan maaşı yeterli bulma ve hizmet-içi eğitim alma değişkenlerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık gösterip göstermediği incelenmiştir. Bunu test etmek amacıyla aritmetik ortalama, tek yönlü ANOVA, bağımsız grup t testi ve Pearson Momentler Çarpımı kullanılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında tüm istatistik işlemler için SPSS paket kullanılmıştır. Tüm sonuçların anlamlılık düzeyi en az .05 olarak kabul edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin benlik saygısı ile öğretmenlik tutumları arasında düşük düzeyde pozitif yönlü bir ilişki olduğu bulunmuştur. ANALYZING THE EFFECT OF PRESCHOOL TEACHERS'S SELF ESTEEM TOWARDS TEACHING ATTITUDE In this research the effect of preschool teachers's self esteem towards teaching attitude has been analyzed. In the research, The Teaching Attitude Questionnaire for Preschool Teachers which is prepared by Bilgin (1995) and Self Esteem Questionnaire which is prepared by Arıcak (1999) have been used. The Teaching Attitude Questionnaire and Self Esteem Questionnaire for Preschool Teachers were filled in by 307 preschool teachers who are on duty at schools in İstanbul at the second half of the 2007–2008 academic year. The Teaching Attitude Questionnaire and Self Esteem Questionnaire for Preschool Teachers’s subdivisions have been analyzed to see if they are presenting a meaningful discrepancy or not, according to the variants of age, institutions graduated from, regarding the salary satisfactory, marital status, choosing the profession of teaching willingly, being satisfied with the profession of teaching, having on-the-job training. To test this arithmetic average; one way ANOVA, independent sample T test and Pearson Correlation have been used. While researching SPSS package programme has been used for all the statistical process. The signifance level of all results has been taken on board .05 at least. As a result of the research; it has been found out that there is a low level positive correlation between self esteem and teaching attitudes of preschool teachers. Through the findings which have been gained some suggestions have been made. Key Words: Preschool Teacher, Self Esteem, Teaching Attitude
