9. sınıf fiziki coğrafya konuları öğretiminde gezi gözlem yönteminin önemi (Bağcılar ilçesi örneği)

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, 9.sınıf Fiziki coğrafya konuları öğretiminde gezi-gözlem yönteminin önemi incelenmiştir. Program ile ilgili sorunlar tespit edilerek çözüm önerileri ortaya konulmuştur. Bu amaca yönelik olarak İstanbul da Bağcılar ilçesinde Orta Öğretim Kurumlarında coğrafya öğretmenleri ve öğrencilere bir anket uygulanmış elde edilen sonuçlar istatistikî yöntemler kullanılarak araştırmaya eklenmiştir. Coğrafyada kullanılan metotlar arasında öğrenci başarısında en fazla etkili olan metodun gezi-gözlem olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ancak gezi-gözlem metodunun diğer metotlara göre daha fazla zamana ihtiyaç duyması ve maddi harcama gerektirmesi vb nedenler bu metodun Fiziki Coğrafya konuları öğretiminde uygulanmasını zorlaştırmaktadır. Sonuç olarak gezi gözlem yöntemi fiziki Coğrafya konuları öğretiminde faydalı bir yöntemdir. İmkanlar dahilinde kullanılması gerekmektedir.

In this study the importance of Excursion-Observation Method in teaching physical geography subjects in 9th grades was analyzed. Problems related to geography program were defined and solutions were offered to these problems. To this purpose, a questionnaire was conducted on geography teachers and students in high schools in Istanbul, Bağcılar and then the results were added to the study by using statistical methods. Is has been detected that among all the methods used in geography lessons the most efficient one in terms of student success is Excursion-Observation Method. However, the reasons such as the fact that Excursion-Observation Method requires more money and time than other methods makes it more difficult to apply this method in teaching of geography subjects. As a result, Excursion-Observation Method is a beneficial method in teaching of geography subjects. It should be used within the bounds of possibility.
