Publication: Sosyal bilgiler dersinde kanıt temelli öğrenmenin rolüne yönelik bir eylem araştırması
Abstract
Bu araştırma, 7. Sınıf Sosyal Bilgiler Dersinde kanıt temelli öğrenmenin nasıl
uygulanabileceğini ve kanıt temelli uygulamaların ders kazanımlarının gerçekleşmesindeki
rolünü ortaya koymak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden eylem
araştırması deseninde planlanıp uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu amaçlı örnekleme
yöntemlerinden kolay ulaşılabilir durum örneklemesine göre belirlenmiştir. Bu çerçevede
2020-2021 eğitim-öğretim yılında Türkiye'nin Batı illerinden birinde bulunan bir ortaokulun
7. Sınıfına devam eden öğrenciler çalışma grubu olarak saptanmıştır. Okulda 7. sınıflar tek
şube olup 14 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın uygulaması 7. Sınıf Sosyal Bilgiler
öğretim programında yer alan "İletişim ve İnsan İlişkileri" ünitesi işlenirken
gerçekleştirilmiştir. Uygulamada ünite kazanımlarının gerçekleştirilmesine ve saygı değerinin
öğrencilere verilmesine odaklanılmıştır. Uygulama süreci sekiz ders saati sürmüştür.
Uygulamanın altı ders saati kanıt temelli çalışma kağıtlarının öğrencilere uygulanmasına, bir
ders saati "Mektup Yazıyorum" etkinliğine ve son bir ders saati ise "Afiş Hazırlıyoruz"
etkinliğine ayrılmıştır. Kanıt temelli etkinliklerin uygulanması sonrasında kazanımların
gerçekleşme düzeyinin belirlenmesi amacıyla "mektup yazıyorum" etkinliği, saygı değerine
ilişkin farkındalıklarının belirlenmesi amacıyla da "Afiş hazırlıyoruz" etkinliği yapılmıştır.
Etkinlikler önceden hazırlanan rubrikler doğrultusunda değerlendirilmiştir. Değerlendirmeler
doğrultusunda çalışmaların çok önemli bir kısmının "Peki" ve "İyi" olduğu görülmüştür.
Çalışmaların analiz edilmesiyle iletişim ve insan ilişkileri ünitesinin kanıt temelli öğrenme ile
işlenmesinin kazanımların gerçekleşmesine katkı sağladığı ve öğrencilerin saygı değerine
ilişkin farkındalıklarını geliştirdiği tespit edilmiştir.
This research was carried out in order to reveal how evidence-based learning can be applied in 7th Grade Social Studies Lesson and the role of evidence-based practices in the realization of course outcomes. The research was planned and applied in the action research pattem, which is one of the qualitative research methods. The study group of the research was determined according to easily accessible case sampling, which is one of the purposeful sampling methods. In this context, students attending 7th grade of a secondary school in one of the westem provinces of Turkey in the 2020-2021 academic year were determined as the study group. The 7th grades in the school are the only branch and consist of 14 students. The application of the research was carried out while teaching "Communication and Human Relations" unit in the 7th Grade Social Studies curriculum. In practice, it is focused on realizing unit gains and giving value of respect to the students. The application process took eight lesson hours. Six class hours of the application were devoted to application of evidencebased worksheets to the students, one class hour was devoted to "I am writing a letter" activity, and the last lesson was to "We are preparing a poster" activity. After the application of the evidence-based activities, "I am writing a letter" activity was performed in order to determine the level of realization of the achievements, and "W e are preparing a poster" activity was performed in order to determine their awareness of the value of respect. The activities were evaluated in line with rubrics prepared in advance. In line with the evaluations, it was seen that a very important part of the studies are "Multi-Qualified" and "Qualified". By analyzing the studies, it was determined that teaching of the communication and human relations unit with evidence-based leaming contributes to realization of the achievements and improves the awareness of the students about the value of respect.
