Din ve bilişsel sosyoloji bağlamında postmodern kimlik sorunsalı

Abstract

Kimlik konusu bireysel, sosyal ve kolektif boyutuyla günümüzün de en önde gelen sosyal araştırma alanlarından biridir. Kimlikle ilgili paradigmaların sert bir dönü-şüme uğradığı postmodern dönemde, kimlik, benlikle özdeşlik kurularak ele alınmaya başlandı. Demokratik olmayan özgürlüğe dayalı istatiksel bireyin yanısıra, benlik oluşu-munu özbilinçli öznellik düzeyine çıkaran ikili yapının oluştuğu postmodern durumda, kimlik sorunsalını ele alırken, bireyin sosyolojisine odaklanmak esastır. Postmodernite-nin, ağırlıklı olarak Batı dünyasının tarihsel, algısal ve bilişsel deneyimini yansıttığını ve zaman içerisinde ilişkisel karmaşıklığı artıran bağlamsal eylemleri ortaya çıkarmakta ol-duğunu vurgulamak önemlidir. Postmodern kimlik mekanlarının kendine özgü formları-na baktığımızda, özellikle son dönemlerde, tek tanrılı veya geleneksel dinlerden farklı bir anlayışla ortaya çıkmaya başlayan yeni dini hareketler veya yeni insanlık dini olarak se-küler maneviyat oluşumu gibi bireysel spritüal yapılanmaların öne çıktığını görmekteyiz. Bir başka önemli konu da postmodern bilincin, bütünsel metodolojiyi, klasik sosyolojinin uğraştığı geniş problem türlerini ve kavramsal çerçeveyi reddeden tutum benimsediğidir. Bu çalışmada postmodern kimlik mekanlarını oluşturan kompleks ve çoğunlukla belirsiz sosyal eylem biçimlerinin bağlamsal olarak tanımlanmasına ve kategorize edilme-sine odaklanılmıştır. Postmodern dönemde bireysel, sosyal ve kolektif kimlik içerikleri-nin tanımı, anlamı ve işlevi değişmiş, ortaya çıkan yeni kimlik içeriklerinin sosyal enteg-rasyonunu sağlamak için, kutsal yeniden üretilmiştir. Yeni kimliğin bu karmaşık doğası-nı, başka bir sosyal bilince aktarmada, dilin ve kültürel algının sınırlılıklarından kaynak-lanan güçlü handikaplar bulunmaktadır. Batılıların konuştuğu günlük fenomenlerin al-tında başka bir deneyimsel farkındalık vardır. Türk sosyolojisi, sosyo-ekonomik ve sos-yo-kültürel başkalıkların yanında, deneyim, algı ve bilişsel farklılıklardan kaynaklanan postmodern kimliği anlama ve açıklama güçlüğünü aşmak için sosyal felsefeyi yoğun olarak kullanmalıdır. Bu önselden hareketle, tezde, kavramsal içeriklerin bağlamsal kul-lanımında, sınırlılıkları aşacak açıklayıcı çerçeveyi geniş tutmak amaçlanmıştır.

Identity is one of the leading social research subjects of the current day with in-dividual, social and collective dimensions. The paradigms about identity have undergone a drastic transformation in the postmodern era, and identity has begun to be considered to-gether with one's self. It is essential to focus on the sociology of the individual while dea-ling with the issue of identity in the case of postmodernity in which a dual structure that takes self-formation to the level of self-conscious subjectivity is formed as well as the statistical individual based on non-democratic freedom. It is important to emphasize that postmodernity predominantly reflects the historical, perceptual, and cognitive experience of the Western world and reveals contextual actions that increase relational complexity over time. Considering the peculiar forms of postmodern identity, especially from recent times, it is seen that individual spiritual structures such as the new religious movements with a concept different from the monotheistic or traditional religions or the formation of new religions of humanity such as secular spirituality emerge. Another important issue is that the postmodern consciousness adopts an attitude that rejects the holistic methodology, the broad types of problems, and the conceptual framework that classical sociology deals with. This study focuses on the contextual definition and categorization of the comp-lex and often ambiguous forms of social action that form postmodern identity. In the postmodern period, the definition, meaning, and function of individual, social and collec-tive identity contents have changed, and the sacred has been reproduced in order to ensure the social integration of new identity contents. Important handicaps are arising from the limitations of language and cultural perception in transferring this complex nature of the new identity to another social consciousness. A different experiential awareness exists behind the everyday phenomena that Westerners speak of. Turkish sociology should use social philosophy extensively in order to overcome the understanding and explaining dif-ficulties of the postmodern identity caused by experience, perception, and cognitive diffe-rences as well as socio-economic and socio-cultural differences. In order to achieve this, it is aimed to broaden the explanatory framework that will overcome the limitations in the contextual use of conceptual contents.
