Câhiliye döneminde Fil Olayı ve etkisi

Abstract

Câhiliye Döneminde Fil Olayı ve Etkisi başlığını taşıyan bu çalışma, İslâm öncesi Araplarda bir mîlat olarak kabul edilen ve dönemi itibariyle dinî ve iktisadî manadaki etkileriyle İslâm dininin doğuşuna zemin hazırlayan bir olayın teferruatlı bir şekilde incelenmesini hedeflemektedir. Tarihî kaynakların yanında Kur’ân-ı Kerîm’de bir sûreyle değinilen bu vak‘a, hem tarihçilerin hem de tefsircilerin çalışma alanına dâhil olmuştur. Ayrıca modern dönemde özellikle Mekke ve Kâbe’nin İslâm öncesi Araplar nezdindeki yeri, Bizans’ın Yemen ve Arap yarımadasıyla ilişkileri ve mucizevî olarak değerlendirilen olayların mahiyetinin yorumlanması hususlarında merkezî bir konum elde etmiştir. Giriş kısmında Fil Olayının esas faillerinin kimliği ve genel özellikleri ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Birinci bölümde Habeşlilerin Arap yarımadasıyla olan tarihî irtibatları üzerinde durulup Habeşlilerin Yemen’de kurduğu son ve en uzun hâkimiyetleri etraflıca ele alınmaya çalışılmıştır. İkinci bölümde ise Habeşlilerin Yemen’deki sonunun başlangıcını meydana getiren ve gerek İslâm tarihinde gerek insanlık tarihinde önemli etkileri bulunan Fil Olayı, sebep ve neticeleriyle birlikte değerlendirilmeye gayret edilmiştir.

This study, under the title of The Event of Fil and Its Effects in Jahiliyyah aims to examine in detail a phenomenon which is considered as a turning point in the pre-Islamic Arabs and paving the way for raising the religion of Islam by having a significant impact on the historical period. This event, which is mentioned with a surah in the Qur'an as well in the historical sources, has been the subject of the field of both historians and al-mufassirūn. In addition, this event has gained a central position in discussing the following matters in the modern period: the position of Mecca and the Kaabah in the pre-Islamic Arabs, the relations of Byzantium with Yemen and the Arabian Peninsula and the interpretation of the nature of the miraculous events. In introduction, the identity and general characteristics of the main actors of the event are tried to be revealed. In the first part their historical relations with the Arabian Peninsula are dwelled upon and the last and the longest dominance of the Ethiopians in Yemen is being discussed. In the second part, the Event of Fil and Its Effects bringing start of the end of Ethiopians in Yemen and having some important effects both in the history of Islam and in the history of mankind is evaluated together with its causes and consequences.
