Abstract
HAVA HARP OKULUNDA ÖĞRENİM GÖREN YABANCI ÖĞRENCİLERİN TÜRKÇE ÖĞRENMEDE KARŞILAŞTIKLARI GÜÇLÜKLER Küreselleşmenin etkisi ve eğitim, ticaret, siyaset, askerlik, kültür, sanat, haberleşme gibi nedenlerle ortaya çıkan dil öğrenme gereksinimi, Türkçe konuşan kimselerin yabancı dilleri öğrenmesi kadar yabancıların da Türkçeyi öğrenmesini zorunlu kılmaktadır. Sürekli olarak artan dil öğrenme ve öğretme faaliyeti, son yıllarda önemi artan Türkçenin yabancılara öğretiminde yaşanan sorunları da ön plana çıkarmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, eğitim iş birliği anlaşmaları kapsamında eğitim ve öğrenimlerini Hava Harp Okulunda sürdürmek üzere ülkemize gelen yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin Türkçeyi öğrenirken hangi güçlüklerle karşılaştığını belirlemek ve bu güçlüklere çözüm önerileri sunmak amaçlanmıştır. Tarama modeline uygun olarak düzenlenen araştırmada şu sorulara cevap aranmıştır: 1.Öğrencilerin Türkçe temel dil becerilerini kazanmada karşılaştığı güçlükler nelerdir? 2.Öğrencilerin yaşadığı güçlüklerin anadillerine göre dağılımı nasıldır? Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2010-2011 Eğitim-Öğretim Yılında Hava Harp Okulunda öğrenim gören 21 misafir askeri personel (MAP) öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, Avrupa Dil Pasaportu’nda yer alan öğrenme düzeyleri esas alınarak öğrencilerin Türkçe yeterlilik düzeylerinin ve Türkçe öğrenmede karşılaştıkları güçlüklerin belirlenmesine çalışılmıştır. Bunun için ölçek olarak anket, mülakat ve odak grup çalışmasından yararlanılmış ve elde edilen veriler, bilgisayar aracılığıyla istatistik kullanılarak ve içerik analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin görüşleri, doğrudan alıntılar yapılarak yansıtılmaya çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca öğrencilerin hazırlık sınıfı öğretmenleriyle ve yabancılara Türkçe öğretiminin yapıldığı merkezlerdeki öğretim elemanlarıyla görüşmeler yapılarak bulguların desteklenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin anadillerine ve temel dil becerilerine (okuma, dinleme, konuşma ve yazma) göre çeşitlilik gösteren güçlükler yaşadığı belirlenmiştir. Bu çalışmanın, özellikle askeri ortamlarda yapılan yabancılara Türkçe öğretimi faaliyeti için yol gösterici olacağı düşünülmektedir. Yabancı Dil Olarak Öğretimi, Dil Pasaportu.
THE DIFFICULTIES FACED BY FOREIGN STUDENTS IN TURKISH AIR FORCE ACADEMY DURING LEARNING TURKISH LANGUAGE Necessity of learning second language which results from the effect of globalism and education, trade, politics, military, culture, art, communication, makes learning Turkish compulsory for foreigners as much as learning second language for Turkish. Gradually increasing learning and teaching second language activity puts forward problems that are experienced during teaching Turkish to foreigners whose importance has increased in the past few years. In this study, we aimed to define the difficulties of learning Turkish that the foreign students who come to Turkish Air Force Academy, Turkey within the context of education cooperation agreement face and to present solutions to the these difficulties. In this research based on the survey method, it’s aimed to find answers for these questions: 1.What are the difficulties for students to get the basic Turkish language skills? 2. What are the distributions of the difficulties that students met according to their mother tongue? In research study group, guest military personal that educated in Turkish Air Force Academy in 2010-2011 academic year constituted. In the research, Turkish proficiency level of students and difficulties faced in learning Turkish were studied in the basis of European Language Portfolio. For this purpose, survey, interview, group work were used as a criterion and data gathered were analyzed by content analysis method and by using statistics program via computer. Students’ views were presented directly by making quotations. Apart from this, these findings were aimed to be supported by making interview with the instructors in Turkish preparatory class and teaching staff in the Turkish teaching. At the end of the study, it has become definite to be students had difficulties that distributed to their mother tongue and basic language skills (reading, listening, speaking and writing). This study is thought to be guidance for guests being thought Turkish especially in military academics. Key words: Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language, Language Passport.
