İntrauterin inseminasyon (IUI) uygulanan kadınlara tedavi sürecine ilişkin verilen web tabanlı eğitimin infertilite stresi ile başa çıkma düzeyi ve infertilite öz yeterliliğine etkisi

Abstract

Amaç: Araştırma, İntrauterin İnseminasyon (IUI) tedavisi uygulanan kadınlara tedavi sürecine ilişkin verilen Swanson Bakım Kuramı’na temellendirilmiş web tabanlı eğitimin infertilite stresi ile başa çıkma düzeyi ve infertilite öz yeterliliğine etkisini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırma, solomon dört grup deseninde randomize kontrollü bir çalışmadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini bir üniversitesi hastanesine başvuran 132 primer infertil hasta oluşturmuştur. Deney gruplarına tedavi sürecine yönelik web tabanlı eğitim uygulanmış ve kontrol grupları ise standart eğitim ve danışmanlık almıştır. Veriler; Kişisel Bilgi Formu, İnfertilite Stresi Ölçeği (İSÖ), İnfertilite Stresi ile Başa Çıkma Ölçeği (İSBÇÖ), İnfertilite Öz Yeterlik Ölçeği (İÖYÖ) Kısa Formu ve Sistem Kullanılabilirlik Skalası (SKS) kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Bulgular: Deney2 ve Kontrol2 gruplarının ön test İSÖ, İSBÇÖ, İÖYÖ ve altboyutlarının puan ortancaları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık bulunmamaktadır (p>0,05). Tedavi sonrası gruplar arasında İSÖ ve altboyutları puan ortancaları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunmaz iken (p>0,05), İSBÇÖ’nün Anlam Bulma Temelli (AME) Başa Çıkma Yöntemi altboyutu ve İÖYÖ puan ortancaları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur (p<0,001). Sonuç: İntrauterin İnseminasyon (IUI) tedavisi uygulanan kadınlara tedavi sürecine ilişkin verilen web tabanlı eğitimin infertilite stres düzeyini azaltmada etkili olmadığı ancak infertilite stresi ile başa çıkma ve infertilite öz yeterlilik düzeyini artırmada etkili olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Objective: The study was conducted to examine the effect of web-based training based on Swanson Care Theory regarding the treatment process given to women undergoing Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) treatment on the level of coping with infertility stress and infertility self-efficacy. Material and Methods: The study was a randomised controlled trial with a Solomon four-group design. The sample of the study consisted of 132 primary infertile patients admitted to a university hospital. The experimental groups received a web-based training programme for the treatment process and the control groups received standard training and counselling. Data were collected using Personal Information Form, Infertility Stress Scale (ISS), Coping with the Infertility Stress Scale (CISS), Infertility Self-Efficacy Scale – Short Form (ISE-SF) and System Usability Scale (SUS). Results: There was no statistically significant difference between the median scores of the pre-test ISS, CISS, ISE-SF and its sub-dimensions of the Experimental2 and Control2 groups (p>0,05). After the treatment, there was no statistically significant difference between the groups in the median scores of the ISS and its sub-dimensions (p>0,05), whereas a statistically significant difference was found between the median scores of the Meaning Finding-Based (MFB) coping method sub-dimension of the CISS and the ISE-SF (p<0,001). Conclusion: It was determined that the web-based training on the treatment process given to women undergoing IUI treatment was not effective in reducing the level of infertility stress, but it was effective in coping with infertility stress and increasing the level of infertility self-efficacy.
