Din psikolojisinde nefs anlayışına katkılar: Sadreddin Konevi örneği

Abstract

Sadreddin Konevî, Nefs, Kendilik, Tasavvuf ÖZET Bu çalışmanın konusunu, XIII. yüzyılda Anadolu’da yaşamış, İslam âlimi ve mutasavvıf Sadreddin Konevî’nin nefs görüşü ile Batı psikoloji literatüründe gelişen self/ kendilik kavramının ilişkisi oluşturmaktadır. Batının kendine özgü dokusuyla geliştirdiği argümanlarını kullanarak Doğunun insanını tanıma ve tedavi etme çabalarının ne kadar sonuç vereceği son yıllarda tartışılmaya başlanmıştır. Bu durumun önem arz etmesi nedeniyle bu çerçevede, iki alanın birbirinden farklılıkları ve benzerlikleri Sadreddin Konevî örneği ile incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Dökümantasyon yönteminin kullanıldığı tezde ilgili Türkçe ve

kaynaklar taranmıştır. Sonuç olarak, insanı anlama ve tanıma gayesinin, tüm insanlıkta ve her çağda görülen bir çaba olduğu ortaya çıkmaktadır. Doğu ve Batı’nın kendiliğine yaklaşımının temel farklılıklar taşıdığı hipotezi doğrulanmıştır. Çoğu zaman kavramların birbirlerinin yerini tam olarak tutmadığı ve kültürel faktörlerin devreye girdiği görülmüştür. Sadr al-Din al-Qunawi, Self, Sufism ABSTRACT This study aims to investigate the relationship between the nefs concept of Sadreddin Konevi, a XIII. century islamic scholar that lived in Anatolia, and the self concept arising from the Western Psychological Literature. The West has attempted to understand and treat the the East using its own arguments which are formed of its unique perspective and the efficiency of this treatment has become a controversial topic recently. As this situation is of importance in this regard, the similarities and differences between these two areas are studied using the Sahreddin Konevî example. For this documented thesis, related sources in Turkish and English have been examined. Consequently, it has been found out that the aim of understanding and identifying human beings has been a quest for humans throughout the history. The hypothesis that there are basic differences between the Eastern and the Western perspectives of the self has been confirmed. In general, it has been observed that the concepts are not synonymous and cultural differences interfere.
