Kadın öykü yazarlarında aile (1970-1980)

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, kadın öykücülerin, aileye bakışı, 1970-1980 döneminde yayınlanan, kadın yazarların öykülerden yola çıkılarak, kadın bakış açısıyla incelenmektedir. Kadın yazarların aile meselesini, erkek yazarlardan daha farklı bir yerden ve daha kadın merkezli ele aldıklarını savunan teze göre, ailenin kadın üzerindeki baskısı erkeğe göre daha etkindir. Kadın, ailenin ve dolayısıyla geleneğin devamı olarak, toplumsal kurallarla çevrilmiştir. Bu yönüyle aile kaderdir, fakat burada kader, determinist bir mantıkla, ‘mutlak’ ve ‘kaçınılmaz’ bir son anlamında değildir. Bu çalışmanın iddia ettiği diğer bir tez, modernleşme projesinin, ailenin yapısında kısmi değişiklikler oluşturduğu, fakat ailenin özünde geleneksel yapıyı büyük ölçüde koruduğudur. Ailede cinsiyete dayalı rol dağılımında, erkeğin evin reisi olarak konumlanmasında, geleneksel/ ataerkil yapı aynen devam etmiştir. İncelemeye konu olan öykülerin tamamına yakınında, ev içi iş bölümünde cinsiyetçi rol dağılımı görülmektedir. Aile bireyleri arasındaki ilişkilerde ataerkil hiyerarşik yapı geçerliliğini korumaktadır. Çalışmanın ortaya koyduğu bir diğer tez de ‘aile dışı’ kalmanın ya da toplumca ‘tam’ sayılmayan bir aileye mensup olmanın ötekileştirici ve dışlayıcı bir unsur olduğudur. Öykülerde dulluk, yetimlik, gayrı meşruluk gibi durumlar, toplumsal yapı tarafından kabul görmeyen, dışlanan haller olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmayla, ailenin her zaman güvenli bir sığınak olmadığının da altı çizilmiştir. Kişiye zarar her zaman dışarıdan gelmez, hatta çoğu zaman en yakından, aileden gelir. Öykülerde sıkça konu edilen şiddetin, fiziksel ve psikolojik olarak çok başvurulan bir sindirme yöntemi olduğu görülmektedir. kadın, öykü.

This study analyzes the view of female story writers on family from a woman perspective, by looking at the short stories written between 1970 and 1980. According to the thesis that defends the fact that woman writers handle the family issue from a different perspective compared to male writers in a way of focusing more on women, the pressure of the family over women is more effective than over men. Woman, as the successor of the family and in turn of the tradition, is surrounded by the social rules. In this manner, the family is a destiny however; here the destiny does not mean an ‘absolute’ and ‘inevitable’ end in a determinist understanding. Another thesis acclaimed by this study is that the project of modernization has led to partial changes in the structure of family while protecting the traditional structure essentially to a greater extend. In the gendered role distribution within the family, in the positioning of the man as the head of family, the traditional/ patriarchal structure has remained unchanged. In almost all of the stories studied over, the sexist role distribution is observed within the domestic division of labor. The patriarchal hierarchical structure is preserved in the relationships among the family members. Another argument offered by this study is that staying ‘outside the family’ or belonging to a socially ‘incomplete’ family is a factor of alienating and exclusion. In the stories, widowhood, orphanhood, illegitimate childhood etc. appears as the socially outlawed, unaccepted situations. With this study, it has been underlined that family is not necessarily a secure shelter. The individual do not come to harm from outside but from within the family most of the time. The violence, often mentioned in the stories, is seen as a commonly invoked way of physical and psychological oppression. Key words: Family, woman, story.
