Abstract
Çalışmamızda kadına yönelik şiddetin medyada nasıl yer bulduğu,yapılan haber dili üzerinden şiddetin nasılmeşrulaştırıldığı/sıradanlaştırıldığı araştırılmıştır. Basında kadınayönelik şiddet haberleri aktarılırken konunun toplumsal sorumluluğunuhissetmek ve bu yönde bir sorumluluk duygusu ile hareket etmekgerekmektedir. Araştırmamızda sansasyonel olması ve daha çok ilgigörmesi amacıyla bu tür haberleri sunarken başlıklarda kullanılan“çarpıcı” ifadelerin sonuçları tartışılmaktadır.Her ne kadar kadına yönelik şiddet küresel bir sorun olsa daülkemizde gittikçe daha yüzeye çıkan bir yara olarak ön planaçıkmaktadır. Araştırmamızda, kadına yönelik şiddet haberlerinin nitelikyönünden analizi yapılacaktır. Çalışmada öncelikle kadına şiddetinküresel boyutları ve Türkiye’deki hızlı artışı masaya yatırılacaktır.Ardından, medyanın bu konudaki gücü göz önüne alınarak, Hürriyet,Sabah ve Posta internet gazete sitelerinde 1Kasım -1 Aralık 2018tarihleri arasında yayınlanan haberler incelenmiştir. Kadına şiddethaberlerini sunarken seçilen başlıkların “ekme kuramı” bağlamındatoplumsal karşılığı konusunda “içerik analizi” yöntemi ile araştırmayapılmıştır. Kadına şiddet haberleri aktarılırken kullanılan başlıklardaseçilen kelimeler, dil ve uslub detaylı olarak irdelenmiştir. Konununoldukça hassas olması sebebiyle haberin sunumunda objektif olunmasıve sansasyonel ifadelerden kaçınılması şiddete uğrayan kişilerin ikincilbir yara almamaları açısından elzemdir. Araştırmada internet üzerindenyayın yapan üç gazetenin mercek altına alınması sonucu kadına şiddethaberlerinde kullandıkları başlıkların daha çok sansasyonel olması yönünde seçildiği ve konunun hassasiyetinin göz ardı edildiğigözlemlenmiştir.
In our study how violence against women takes place in the media_x000D_ and violence is legitimized/ banalised over the language used in the_x000D_ news is investigated. When news about violence against women is being_x000D_ reported in the press, one has to feel the social responsibility of the_x000D_ subject and act with such a feeling of responsibility. In our study,_x000D_ consequences of using “striking” statements used in the headings in_x000D_ presenting such kind of new for creating sensational emotions and_x000D_ attracting attention is discussed._x000D_ Although violence against women is a global problem, in our_x000D_ country it is increasingly becoming a wound coming at the forefront._x000D_ This study examined qualitatively the effects of the news about violence_x000D_ against women. In our research, the news that is published in Hürriyet,_x000D_ Sabah and Posta online newspapers between the dates of 1st November1st December 2018 are examined. Research is made about the social_x000D_ equivalent of the headings selected in presenting the news about_x000D_ violence against women within the context of the “cultivation theory”._x000D_ The words that are selected in the headings that are used in presenting_x000D_ news about violence against women are examined in detail in terms of_x000D_ language and style. As the subject is very delicate it is crucial to be_x000D_ objective in presenting the news and avoiding sensational expressions_x000D_ in terms of exposing the survivals of violence to secondary wounding. In_x000D_ the study by taking three newspapers publishing their news over the_x000D_ Internet under focusing glass it is observed that their headings used in_x000D_ the news about violence against women are being selected rather for_x000D_ being sensational. And delicacy of the subject is being neglected.
