Mustafa Kutlu'nun eserlerinde şehir ve mimari ilişkisi

Abstract

Mustafa Kutlu, eserlerinde şehir ve mimari ilişkisini farklı biçimlerde işlemiştir. Hikâyeci kimliğiyle tanınan yazar deneme ve gezi yazılarında da ele aldığı şehir ve mimari konusunda geleneksel mimari ve modern mimari üzerinde durmuştur. Hikâyelerinde kurgusal yolla anlatıcıyla ve karakterler vasıtasıyla anlattığını; deneme ve gezi yazılarında doğrudan kendi sesiyle aktaran yazar, geleneksel mimariyi, modern mimariye tercih eder. Yazara göre modern şehirde kaybolan ahlakla beraber mimaride de üslupsuzluk görülmektedir ve bütün şehirler birbirine benzemektedir. Kutlu, geleneksel İslâm mimarisinde her evin küçük de olsa bir bahçesi olduğunu vurgular. Geleneksel şehirlerde insanın tabiatla ilişkisini sürdürdüğünü ancak modern şehirlerde betonlaşmayla bu ilişkinin kesildiğini söyleyen Kutlu, yeni şehirler kurulmasını teklif eder. Kurulacak yeni şehirlerde nüfus azaltılacak, mimari yapılaşma yatay olacaktır. Bir-iki katlı yapılacak evlerin her birinin birer bahçesi olacak ve yapılar iklim koşuluna uygun tasarlanacaktır. Bu araştırmanın amacı Mustafa Kutlu’nun eserlerinde şehir ve mimari ilişkisini tespit etmektir. Bu amaçla yazarın eserleri incelenmiş ve kronolojiye dikkat edilerek farklı başlıklar altında sınıflandırılmıştır.

Mustafa Kutlu handled the relationship between city and architecture in different ways in his works. The author, who is known as a storyteller, focuses on traditional and modern architecture in his essays and travel writings on cities and architecture. In his stories, he tells the stories in a fictional way, through the narrator and the characters; The author, who narrates directly in his own voice in his essays and travel writings, prefers traditional architecture to modern architecture. According to the author, along with the lost morality in the modern city, there is also a lack of style in architecture and all cities look similar to each other. Kutlu emphasizes that in traditional Islamic architecture, every house has a garden, even if it is small. Kutlu says that in traditional cities, people maintain their relationship with nature, but in modern cities, this relationship is interrupted by concreting, and proposes the establishment of new cities. In new cities to be established, the population will be reduced and architectural construction will be horizontal. Each of the one- or two-storey houses will have a garden and the buildings will be designed according to the climatic conditions. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between city and architecture in Mustafa Kutlu's works. For this purpose, the author's works were examined and classified under different headings, paying attention to chronology.
