Abstract
Girişimciler yenilikçi fikir ve ürünlerini hayata geçirmek ve faaliyetlerini sürdürebilmek için finansmana ihtiyaç duyarlar. Girişimcilerin ihtiyaç duydukları bu kaynağa erişmesi için çeşitli finansman yöntemleri bulunmaktadır. Bu yöntemlerden bazıları çok uzun sürelerdir kullanılmakta, bazıları ise teknolojinin gelişmesiyle birlikte ortaya çıkmaktadır. Kitlesel fonlama, teknolojinin gelişmesiyle birlikte girişimciler için alternatif bir finansman yöntemi olarak oluşmuş ve giderek artan zorlu rekabet şartlarında girişimciliğin önemli finansman yollarından biri haline gelmiştir. Kitlesel fonlama yöntemi kendi içinde farklı modellerde uygulanmakta olup, girişimcilerin yaygın olarak tercih ettiği model paya dayalı kitlesel fonlama modeli olmuştur. Bu model çok sayıda kişiden küçük miktarlarda fon toplama yoluyla gerçekleşmektedir ve yatırımcıların her biri fon karşılığı hisse alarak girişime ortak olmaktadır. Bu süreçte girişimcinin ve yatırımcının buluşmasını sağlayan web tabanlı bir platform bulunmaktadır ve bu platform şirket aynı zamanda yatırımcıların değerlendirilmesine hangi kampanyaların sunulacağına karar vererek kritik bir rol oynamaktadır. Platform şirketlerinin bu kritik karar süreci hangi girişimlerin yatırım fırsatı elde edeceğini ve yatırımcıların hangi girişimleri değerlendirebileceğini belirlemektedir. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın konusu böylesi kritik bir role sahip platformların kampanya karar sürecine ışık tutmak ve bu süreçteki belirleyici faktörleri ortaya çıkarmaktır. Bu araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemleri kullanılarak, paya dayalı kitlesel fonlama faaliyeti yürüten 4 platformdan katılımcılarla yarı yapılandırılmış mülakatlar gerçekleştirilmiş ve elde edilen veriler analiz edilmiştir.
Entrepreneurs need financing to realize their innovative ideas and products and to continue their activities. There are various financing methods for entrepreneurs to access this resource they need. Some of these methods have been used for a long time, and some have emerged with the development of technology. With the development of technology, crowdfunding has emerged as an alternative financing method for entrepreneurs and has become one of the important financing methods of entrepreneurship in increasingly challenging competitive conditions. The crowdfunding method is applied in different models, and the most commonly preferred model by entrepreneurs is the equity-based crowdfunding model. This model is realized by collecting small amounts of funds from many people, and each investor becomes a partner in the venture by purchasing shares in return for funds. In this process, there is a web-based platform that allows entrepreneurs and investors to meet, and this platform company also plays a critical role by deciding which campaigns will be presented to investors for evaluation. This critical decision process of platform companies determines which startups will receive investment opportunities and which startups investors can evaluate. In this context, the subject of the research is to shed light on the campaign decision process of platforms with such a critical role and to reveal the determining factors in this process. In this research, using qualitative research methods, semistructured interviews were conducted with participants from 4 platforms conducting equity-based crowdfunding activities and the obtained data were analysed.
