Metrik uzaylar ve metriklenebilme

Abstract

METRİK UZAYLAR VE METRİKLENEBİLME Bu tez çalışması üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. İlk Bölümde metrik uzaylara ,metrik-lenebilme ve perdelenebilir uzaylarla ilgili temel kavramlara ve teoremlere yer verilmiştir. İkinci Bölümde Alexandroff-Urysohn Metriklenebilme Teoremi'nin ispatı için gerekli yardımcı teoremler verildikten sonra ispat yapılmış daha sonra da Alexandroff-Urysohn Teoreminin sonuçlarına değinilmiştir. Üçüncü Bölümde ise gelişebilir uzaylar, perdelenebilir uzaylar ve derlemsel normal uzayların birbirleriyle karşılaştırılmaları ve bu uzayların hangi koşullar altında metriklenebilir olduğu ele alınmıştır. Daha sonra derlemsel normallik ve bütünüyle normallik kavramları karşılaştırılmış ve aralarındaki bağlantıyı gösteren bazı örnekler ele alınmıştır. Temmuz 2004Canan Erdoğan

METRIC SPACES AND METRIZABILITY This thesis consists of three chapters. The first chapter includes fundamental definitions and basic results about metric spaces, metrizability and screenable spaces. In the second chapter the proof of Alexandroff-Urysohn's metrization theorem and some results of this theorem are given. For this purpose at first some lemmas which is necessary to show the validity of Alexandroff-Urysohn's metrization theorem are used. In the last chapter the comparations of developable spaces, screenable spaces and collectionwise normal spaces and conditions for the metrizability of this spaces are considered. Then collectionwise normality and full normality is compared and some examples are given. Temmuz 2004 Canan Erdoğan
