Publication: Harezmi eğitim modelini uygulayan öğretmenlerin model hakkındaki görüşlerinin belirlenmesi
Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı; devlet okullarında uygulanan Harezmi eğitim modelinin uygulayıcıları olan öğretmenlerin Harezmi eğitim modeline yönelik görüşlerinin belirlenmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda nitel araştırma yaklaşımına dayalı betimsel bir çalışma yapılarak Harezmi eğitim modeline ilişkin öğretmen görüşleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır.Araştırma; 2019-2020 eğitim öğretim yılında İstanbul ili Sultanbeyli ilçesinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu İstanbul ili Sultanbeyli ilçesinde Harezmi eğitim modeli uygulanan 5 ilkokul, 2 ortaokul ve 1 lise olmak üzere toplam 8 farklı okulda görev yapmakta olan öğretmenler arasından kolay ulaşılabilir örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 40 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verileri yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmıştır. Yapılan görüşmelerde öğretmenlerin uyguladıkları Harezmi Eğitim Modeli sürecinde alınan eğitim, eğitim veren eğitimciler ve uygulama hakkındaki görüşlerine ilişkin sorular sorulmuş ve elde edilen verilere içerik analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre; Harezmi Eğitim Modeline ilişkin eğitim alan öğretmenlerin görüşleri doğrultusunda verilen eğitimle ilgili bir takım eksiklikler olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Verilen teorik içerikle ilgili olarak teorik içeriğin yeterli olduğu, ancak buna karşılık eğitim süresinin, uygulamasının yetersiz ve soyut kaldığı saptanmıştır. Aynı zamanda eğitim planlamasının uygun olmadığı görüşü de belirtilmiştir. Buna karşılık, verilen eğitimin mesleki ve kişisel gelişimlerine katkı sağladığı ifade edilmiştir. Harezmi Eğitimini veren eğitimciler hakkındaki görüşlerden ise; eğitimcilerin Harezmi Eğitim Modeline ilişkin bilgi ve beceri düzeylerinin yeterli olduğu, buna karşılık teknolojiyi kullanma konusunda zaman zaman yetersiz kaldıkları sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır. Uygulamalarda teknolojik donanım açısından güçlükler yaşandığı, ancak uygulamanın araştırmaya katılan öğrencilere öncelikli olarak yardımlaşma ve dayanışma değerlerini kazandırdığı da elde edilen diğer sonuçlar arasında yer almıştır. Bu bağlamda yapılan araştırma sonucu Harezmi Eğitim Modeli’ne yönelik öğretmen eğitimlerinin uygun ve geniş bir zamana yayılarak verilmesi, eğitimi veren eğitimcilerin nitelikli ve donanımlı bireyler arasından seçilmesi ayrıca uygulamanın öğrenci, öğretmen, planlama, işleyiş, fiziki şartlar, teknolojik alt yapı gibi farklı değişkenler dikkate alınarak ayrıntılı bir şekilde incelenmesi modelin daha iyi anlaşılması ve geliştirilmesi adına önerilmektedir.
The purpose of this research is the determination of the opinions of teachers, who are the implementers of the Harezmi education model applied in public schools, about the Harezmi education model. In line with this purpose, a descriptive study based on qualitative research approach was conducted to determine teachers' views on the Harezmi education model.This research was held in the district of Sultanbeyli in Istanbul province in the 2019-2020 academic year. The study group of the research consists of 40 teachers who were selected by the easily accessible sampling method among the teachers working in 8 different schools, 5 primary schools, 2 secondary schools and 1 high school, where the Harezmi education model is applied in Sultanbeyli district of Istanbul province.Research data were collected using a semi-structured interview form. In the interviews, questions were asked about the education received in the process of the Harezmi Education Model applied by the teachers, about the educators who gave education, and about their opinions about the application, then content analysis was performed with the obtained data.According to the findings obtained from the research; It was concluded that there are some deficiencies in the education given in line with the opinions of the teachers who received training on the Harezmi Education Model. It was determined that the theoretical content regarding the given theoretical content was sufficient, but on the other hand, the duration of the training and its implementation remained insufficient and abstract. It was also stated that the training planning was not appropriate. On the other hand, it was stated that the education provided to their professional and personal development. Of the opinions about the educators who provide the Harezmi Education; It was concluded that the knowledge and skill levels of the educators regarding the Harezmi Education Model were sufficient, but they were sometimes insufficient to use technology. It was also among the other results that there were difficulties in terms of technological equipment in the applications, but the application gave students the value of helping and solidarity first. As a result of the research conducted in this context, the teachers training for the Harezmi Education Model should be given appropriate and over a wide period of time, the educators providing the education should be selected among the qualified and equipped individuals, and also different variables such as student, teacher, planning, functioning, physical conditions, technological infrastructure of the application It is recommended to examine the model in detail in order to better understand and develop the model.
