Publication: Kariyer planlamada eğitim etkinliklerinin önemi
Abstract
Küreselleşen günümüz dünyasında her alanda kendini gösteren dönüşüm süreci, iş hayatında da hızlı bir değişim ve dönüşüm sürecini zorunlu kılmıştır. Bilgi sürecine geçiş döneminde, yönetim tarzındaki değişikliklere de paralel olarak “insan” örgütün en değerli kaynağı olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bu anlayış ile birlikte; değişen iş ve işgücünün yapısı, kariyer ve kariyer planlama kavramlarını önemli hale getirmiştir. Kariyer planlama bu bağlamda değerlendirildiğinde; hem örgüt hedeflerini hem çalışanların hedeflerini bağdaştırıcı nitelikte olup, örgütsel verimliliği ve yüksek iş başarımını sağlamak adına ‘insan kaynakları yönetim sistemi’nin önemli bir uygulaması konumunda bulunmaktadır. Eğitim ise; bir kariyer geliştirme yöntemi olarak bireyin bilgi, yetki ve yeteneklerinin gelişimini gerçekleştirerek kariyer hedeflerine ulaşmasını sağlayacak sistematik bir süreci ifade etmektedir. Bu çalışma ile; kariyer planlama ve eğitim arasında ilişki kurularak, dünyadaki kariyer planlama-geliştirme faaliyetlerine kıyasla Türkiyedeki uygulamalara yer verilmiştir. Beş büyük ölçekli işletmede yapılan araştırmalar doğrultusunda Bankacılık ve İlaç sektörü başta olmak üzere, özellikle çok uluslu işletmelerde insan odaklı bu uygulamalara yer verildiği görülmüştür.
IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION ACTIVITIES IN CAREER PLANNING Transformation process, which displays itself in every field of global world, has necessitated a rapid change and transformation in business life, as well. In the transition period of information process, “individual”, in line with the changes in the management styles, is accepted as the most valuable source of this organization. With this view point, changing labor and labor force structure has added importance to the concepts of “career” and “career planning”. Evaluated in this context, career planning harmonizes both organization goals and employers’ goals, and is an important kind of application in “human resources management system” in terms of obtaining organizational efficiency and high business success. On the other hand, education, a career developing method, refers to a systematical process that will improve individual’s knowledge, competence, and capabilities, and allow the individual to reach its career goals. With this study, a relation between career planning and education has been built, and the applications in Turkey as compared to other career planning-developing activities in the world have been mentioned. In line with the researches carried out in the five large-scaled companies, especially in international companies, Banking and Medicine industries are taking the first lead, it has been observed that these individual-oriented applications are being implemented.
