İbn Hafîf eş-Şîrâzî ve tasavvufî görüşleri

Abstract

İbn Hafîf (ö. 371/ 982), Hicrî IV. yüzyılın önemli sûfî şahsiyetlerinden biri olarak İran’ın Şîraz şehrinde yaşamış ve tasavvufî düşüncenin oluşumu, gelişimi ve sistemleşmesi süreçlerinde önemli rol oynamıştır. İbn Hafif’in yaşadığı Şiraz şehrinin, dönem itibariyleözellikle tasavvufî hareketlerin merkezî bir niteliğe büründüğü ve sûfîlik düşüncesinin entelektüel ve pratik boyutlarıyla derinleştiği bir coğrafya olduğu bilinmektedir. Tasavvufi düşüncelerin merkezi olan Şiraz İbn Hafif için bir eğitim yuvası olmuştur. İbn Hafîf’in,Cüneyd-i Bağdâdî (ö. 297/ 909), Ruveym b. Ahmed (ö. 303/ 915-916) ve Hallâc-ı Mansûr (ö.309/ 922) gibi dönemin önde gelen sûfî şahsiyetleriyle olan münasebetleri, onun sûfî düşüncesinin temellenmesinde ve şekillenmesinde önemli bir zemin oluşturmuştur. İbn Hafîf,tasavvufî eserlerinde kelâmî meselelere de eğilerek, sûfîlik ve kelâmın kesişim noktalarında kapsamlı analizler yapmış, çağdaşlarından öğrendiği bilgileri özgün bir düşünce yapısına dönüştürmüştür. “İbn Hafîf eş-Şîrâzî ve Tasavvufî Görüşleri” başlıklı çalışmamızda, öncelikli olarak İbn Hafîf’in biyografisi detaylı bir şekilde ele değerlendirilmiş; İbn Hafif’in entelektüel gelişim süreci, sosyal çevresi ve tasavvufî geleneğin şekillenmesindeki rolü titizlikle incelenmiştir. Bu bağlamda, onun kurduğu Hafîfiyye tarîkâtının yapısal özellikleri, doktriner temelleri ve tasavvuf tarihindeki konumu derinlemesine analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde, İbn Hafîf’in tasavvufî görüşleri tarihsel, sosyokültürel ve teolojik bağlamlarda detaylı bir şekilde irdelenmiştir. Özellikle onun Hicrî IV. yüzyıldaki tasavvufî düşünceye yaptığı katkılar, dönemin genel sûfî atmosferi ve İbn Hafîf’in bu atmosfer içerisindeki etkisi dikkate alınarak ele alınmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, İbn Hafîf’in tasavvuf tarihindeki özgün yerini ve onun sûfîlik anlayışının sonraki dönemlerdeki tasavvufî hareketler üzerindeki etkisini ortaya koymaktır. Tasavvuf literarürüne İbn Hafif ve tasavvuf ekoli hakkında daha kapsamlı bilgiler kazandırmayı hedefleyen bu çalışma, Şîraz’ın tasavvuf tarihindeki merkezi rolünü ve İbnHafîf’in tasavvuf düşüncesine yaptığı katkıları, kapsamlı bir analiz çerçevesinde ele almaktadır. Nitel desende teorik olarak hazırlanan çalışmanın sonuçları İbn Hafîf’in düşüncelerinin, tasavvufî hareketlerin teorik ve pratik boyutlarına olan etkilerinin, tasavvuf tarihine katkılarının ne denli derin ve kalıcı olduğu ortaya koymaktadır.

Ibn Hafif (d. 371/ 982) was one of the important Sufi figures of the 4th Hijri century, who lived in Shiraz, Iran, and played a significant role in the formation, development, and systematization of Sufi thought. It is known that Shiraz, where Ibn Hafif lived, had become acentral location for Sufi movements during this period, deepening Sufi thought in both its intellectual and practical dimensions. In this context, Shiraz served as an educational hub for Ibn Hafif. The relationships that Ibn Hafif established with leading Sufi figures of his time, suchas Junayd al-Baghdadi (d. 297/ 909), Ruwaym b. Ahmad (d. 303/ 915-916), and Hallaj (d. 309/ 922), formed an important foundation for the grounding and shaping of his Sufi thought. In his Sufi works, Ibn Hafif also addressed theological issues, conducting comprehensiveanalyses at the intersections of Sufism and theology, transforming the knowledge he gained from his contemporaries into an original framework of thought. In our study titled Ibn Hafif al-Shirazi and His Sufi Views, Ibn Hafif's biography is examined in detail, focusing on his intellectual development, social environment, and his role in shaping the Sufi tradition. In this context, the structural characteristics, doctrinal foundations, and the position of the Hafifiyya order he established have been analyzed in depth. In the second part of the study, Ibn Hafif's Sufi views are examined in historical, sociocultural, and theological contexts. In particular, his contributions to Sufi thought in the 4th Hijri century, the general Sufi atmosphere of the period, and Ibn Hafif's influence within that atmosphere have been addressed. The aim of this study is to reveal Ibn Hafif's unique place in the history of Sufism and the impact of his Sufi understanding on subsequent Sufi movements. This study aims to provide more comprehensive information about Ibn Hafif and the Sufi school in the Sufi literature, while addressing the central role of Shiraz in the history of Sufism and Ibn Hafif's contributions to Sufi thought within a comprehensive analytical framework. Prepared theoretically in a qualitative design, the data collection process of thisstudy involved a literature review on Ibn Hafif's life and Sufi views, meticulously examining written sources related to classical Islamic thought, academic theses, articles, and biographical works. During this process, both primary sources, namely the works of Ibn Hafif, and secondary sources regarding him were analyzed. In the data analysis, the collected information was systematically categorized and evaluated in light of the existing knowledge in the relevant literature. The results of the study demonstrate the profound and lasting impact of Ibn Hafif's thoughts on the theoretical and practical dimensions of Sufi movements and his contributions to the history of Sufism.
