Sivil toplum kuruluşları ve kültürel etkinlikleri

Abstract

Küreselleşen dünyada üçüncü bir sektör olarak önemi giderek artan Sivil Toplum Kuruluşları genel olarak; “bireylerin veya grupların bağımsız hareket ederek belirli bir amaç doğrultusunda örgütlenmeleri” anlamına gelmektedir. Son yıllarda dünyada ve ülkemizde Sivil Toplum Kuruluşlarının faaliyetleri geniş kitlelere ulaşmaktadır. Bu faaliyetler, yardımdan sağlığa, spordan dini faaliyetlere kadar geniş bir alana yayılmıştır. Ülkemizde sivil toplum kuruluşları arasında dernekler önemli bir orana sahiptir. Dernekler içerisinde de hemşehri dernekleri sayıca diğerlerinden önde gelmektedir. Bu çalışmada sivil toplum kavramına, Türkiye’de sivil toplumun gelişimine ve İstanbul’da faaliyet gösteren derneklere genel olarak değinilmiş, daha sonra hemşehri dernekleri ve hemşehricilik olgusu incelenmiştir.In this globalized world, as a third sector, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) whose importance is getting bigger can be defined as “the organizing of individuals and groups for a specific aim with an independent movement”. In recent years, the activities of NGOs reach to the mass public groups both in the world and in our country. The subject of these activities changes from aid to health or from sports to religion. In our country, associations have an important ratio among the NGOs. Among these associations, citizenship associations (the term “citizenship association” is used here in the meaning of “the associations formed by people coming from the same cities&towns to live in a big city) are the most common ones. In this thesis, the concept of NGO, the development of NGOs in Turkey and the associations that facilitates in İstanbul are being held; moreover the citizenship associations and the concept of citizenship are being discussed.
