Kültürel eksende ebeveynlerin ve öğrencilerin beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumları ile okula aidiyet duyguları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Kültürel eksende ebeveynlerin ve öğrencilerin beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumları ile okula aidiyet duyguları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi Amaç: Bu çalışmada kültürel açıdan farklı iki ülkede bulunan Türkiye/ Artvin iline bağlı ilçelerdeki ortaokul ve lise düzeyindeki okullar ile yurt dışında bulunan Türk okullarında eğitim gören Türkiye Cumhuriyeti vatandaşı öğrencilerin, beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumları, okula aidiyet duyguları ve ebeveynlerin beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Gereç Yöntem: Yapılan araştırmada nicel araştırma tekniği ve betimsel yöntemlerden ilişkisel tarama deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan katılımcılar kolayda örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenmiş ve 1101 ortaokul-lise öğrencisi ile 1861 ebeveyne ölçek uygulamaları yapılmıştır. Ölçeklerin güvenirlikleri cronbach alfa ve test-tekrar-test analizleri ile test edilmiş ve ölçeklerin güvenilir olduğu belirlenmiştir(α>0,70;r>0,70).Verilerin analizinde yüzde (%), frekans (f), tanımlayıcı istatistikler, homojenlik, t testi, tek yönlü varyans analizleri, regresyon, korelasyon, post-hoc, güvenirlik testleri uygulanmış ve anlamlılık düzeyi p<.05 ve güven aralığı %95 kabul edilmiştir. Bulgular: Kültürel eksende; yaşanılan yerler ile öğrencilerin beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumları aynı zamanda okula aidiyet duygu durumları arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilmiştir (p<.05). Kültürel eksende; yaşanılan yerler ile öğrencilerin beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumları ile okula aidiyet duygu durumları arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir ilişki tespit edilmiştir (p<.05; r= 0,42). Kültürel eksende; ebeveynlerin yaşadıkları yerler ile beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumları arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir ilişki tespit edilmiştir (p<.05). Öğrencilerin beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumları, okula aidiyet duygu durumlarını yordadığı tespit edilmiştir (p<.05 ; R2= ,181). Sonuç: öğrencilerin ve ebeveynlerin beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik genellikle yüksek düzeyde olumlu bir tutum içerisinde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumlarının okula yönelik aidiyet duygularını etkilediği ve tüm okul dinamikleri beraber değerlendirildiğinde beden eğitimi ve spor dersinin öğrencilerin okula aidiyetinde önemli bir rol üstlendiği ortaya konulmuştur.

An examination of the relationship between parents' and students' attitudes towards physical education and their sense of school belonging in a cultural context Objective: This study aims to examine the relationship between the attitudes of students in middle and high schools located in districts of Artvin, Turkey, and Turkish students attending schools abroad towards physical education and sports classes, their sense of school belonging, and the attitudes of parents towards physical education and sports classes. The research focuses on cultural differences between the two settings. Materials and Methods: A quantitative research technique and descriptive methods, specifically the relational survey design, were employed in this study. Participants were selected using convenience sampling, and scale applications were administered to 1,101 middle and high school students and 1,861 parents. Data analysis included percentage (%), frequency (f), descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, regression, correlation, post-hoc, and reliability tests, with a significance level set at p<.05 and aconfidence interval of 95%. Results: From a cultural perspective, statistically significant differences were found between the locations in which students live and their attitudes towards physical education and sports classes, as well as their sense of school belonging (p<.05). Additionally, a significant correlation was observed between the locations in which students live and their attitudes towards physical education and sports classes and school belonging (p<.05; r= 0.42). A significant relationship was also found between the locations in which parents live and their attitudes towards physical education andsports classes (p<.05). It was determined that students' attitudes towards physicaleducation and sports classes predicted their sense of school belonging (p<.05). Conclusion: It was found that both students and parents generally had a highly positive attitude towards physical education and sports classes. Students' attitudes towards physical education and sports classes were shown to influence their sense of school belonging. When all school dynamics are considered together, physical education and sports classes play a significant role in fostering students' sense of belonging to school.
