Türkiye’de dijitalleşme bağlamında okuma alışkanlıklarının gelişimi: sesli kitaplar örneği

Abstract

TÜRKİYE’DE DİJİTALLEŞME BAĞLAMINDA OKUMA ALIŞKANLIKLARININ GELİŞİMİ: SESLİ KİTAPLAR ÖRNEĞİBu tez çalışması 1970’li yıllarda başlayan teknolojik gelişmelere paralel olarak tüm dünyada ve Türkiye’de ortaya çıkan sesli kitapların, Türkiye’deki tarihsel gelişimini ve okuma oranını artırmasındaki süreci ortaya koymayı amaçlamıştır. Ayrıca bu sesli kitapların Türkiye’de görme engelliler üzerinde sağladığı fayda da ele alınmıştır. Sesli kitap, basılı kitapların, seslendireni, müziği ve ses efektleriyle birlikte dijital teknolojiler ve ortamlar aracılığıyla yeni bir biçimde sunulmasıyla ortaya çıkmış bir kavram olup, Türkiye de sesli kitap üretim sektörünün devlet teşvikiyle geliştiği görülmektedir. Bu devlet teşvikiyle görme engelliler için ücretsiz hizmet veren birçok yerde yaygınlaştığı ve sesli kütüphaneler kurulduğu görülürken Türk Telekom ve Turkcell gibi birçok özel kurumda bu kütüphanelerin benzerlerinin kurulmasına ve dijital ortama aktarılmasına destek vermiştir. Dijital ve teknolojik gelişmelerle de her geçen gün daha kullanışlı ve profesyonel sesli kitap kayıtları oluşturulmuştur. Türkiye’de sesli kitapların hitap ettiği kesim dijitalleşme ve gelişen teknolojiye paralel olarak her geçen gün artmakta herkese hitap eder konuma gelmektedir.

DEVELOPMENT OF READING HABITS IN DIGITIZATION CONTEXT IN TURKEY: SAMPLE OF SOUND BOOKSThis thesis aims to put forward the process of the historical development and the increase in reading rate by audio books in Turkey -which has occurred all around the world and in Turkey in parallel with the technological developments starting in 1970s. Also, the benefits of those audio books over the blind people in Turkey has been discussed. As the audio book is a notion which comes up with the submission of the published books presented through digital effects and environments together with the dubber, music and sound effects, it is seen that the audio books publishing industry has been developing with the support of the government and the government incentive. While it has been seen that in many places audio libraries serving free of charge is spreading with the government incentive, the establishment of such libraries and transformation to the digital media has been supported by many companies like Turk Telekom and Turkcell. As a result of digital and technological developments, each day more useful and professional audio book records have been created. Inparallel with the developing technology and digitization, the audio book fancy is increasing each day in Turkey and it is turning out to catching everybody’s fancy.
