Abstract
İKİNCİ MAARİF SÛRASI’NDA ALINAN KARARLAR VE DÖNEMİN AYDINLARININ GÖRÜSLERİ Türkiye’de Millî Egitim, Cumhuriyet’in kurulmasından itibaren din egitimi ile ilgili birçok tecrübe yasamıstır. Yasanan bu tecrübeler kinci Maarif Sûrası’nın sekillenmesini de etkilemistir. Din adamı yetistiren kurumların olmayısı, dini meselelerin bilgisiz insanların eline kalmasına ve toplumda bir ahlak buhranın dogmasına sebep olmustur. Din egitiminin eksikliginin sonucu olarak bir ‘ahlâk egitimi’ olusturma çabaları ilk defa kinci Maarif Sûrası’nda müsahhaslasmıstır. Dönemin bir problemi haline de gelen ‘ahlâk meselesi’ kinci Maarif Sûrası’nın temel tartısma konusunu olusturmustur. Bu çalısma, 15–21 Subat 1943 tarihinde gerçeklesen kinci Maarif Sûrası’nı ele almaktadır. kinci Maarif Sûrası dönemin yazılı basını tarafından yakından takip edilmistir. Sûrada yapılan konusmalar, komisyon görüsmeleri, alınan kararlar ve kararlar üzerinde yapılan tartısmalar yazılı basına yansımıs; dönemin aydınları tarafından dikkatle irdelenmistir. Bu çalısmada dönemin yazılı basınının ve aydınlarının egitim, ahlâk ve gençlik konuları hakkındaki görüslerine yer verilmistir
DECISIONS MADE AT THE SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL COUNCIL AND IDEAS OF THE INTELLECTUALS IN THAT PERIOD The National Education System at Turkey inhabited many experinces regarding religious studies since the establishment of Turkish Republic. These experiences affected the transformation of the Secondary Educational Council. Not having institutions to raise sincere religious functinaries, has caused religious issues being represented by ignorant people and emerged moral crisis in the society. The Secondary Educational Council has created for the first time the “Ethical Schooling” due to deficiencies in religous studies. Also the ‘Ethical Issues’ being the single problem of the period has formed basic argument matters of the Secondary Educational Council. The subject investigates the Secondary Educational Council which was materialized on 15-21 February 1943. The Secondary Educational Council was monitored closely by the date’s press. The talks given in the council, commission conversations, decisions made and the disputes relating to the decisions made, reverberated to the press and carefully examined by the period’s intellectuals. This study narrates ideas of the period’s press and intellectuals’ relating to education, morals and youth issues.
