Publication: Tekstilin iç mekan ve mobilya tasarımına etkileri
Abstract
Geçmişten günümüze tekstil malzemeleri mekânı ve mobilyayı saran, kullanıcının yaşantısını ve eylemlerini büyük ölçüde etkileyen ve yansıtan elemanlardır. Tasarımcıların mekânı etkisi altına alan materyalleri yeterince tanımadan yaptıkları seçimlerin mekân ile görsel ve işlevsel olarak bütünleşmediği tespit edilmiştir. Bu nedenle tekstilin hammaddeden ürüne gelene kadar geçirdiği aşamalarda sahip olduğu özellikler kullanıcı ve mekân iletişimi üzerindeki etkileriyle birlikte anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır. Mekânı ve mobilyayı donatan tekstil malzemelerinin; görsel, dokunsal, fiziksel ve psikolojik etkileri, görsel örneklerle ve yapılan alan çalışmalarıyla birlikte ele alınmıştır. Yapılan çalışmada bu alanlarda tekstil kullanımının sonuçları üzerinden incelemeler ve karşılaştırmalar yapılarak işleve uygun sistem ve malzeme seçimine yardımcı olması amaçlanmıştır.Tezin birinci bölümü, tezin amacı ve kapsamının anlatıldığı giriş bölümüdür. İkinci bölümde tarihte tekstilin insan hayatına girişi ve dokumacılığın gelişimiyle birlikte günümüz teknolojisine ulaşma süreci anlatılmıştır. Tekstilin hammaddeden ürün hâline gelene kadar geçirdiği işlemler sırasıyla ele alınmıştır. Özellikle iç mekân ve mobilyada kullanılan materyaller seçilerek bunların özelliklerini ve kullanım yerlerini tanımlayan kılavuzlar oluşturulmuştur. Bu kılavuzların, tasarımcılara ve kullanıcılara ürün seçimi yaparken yol göstermesi amaçlanmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde tekstilin insanın duyu organları yardımıyla algıladığı doku, desen ve renk etkisi üzerinde durulmuştur. Şematik çizimler yardımıyla tekstilin renk ve desen etkisinin mekân ve insan üzerindeki etkilerinden bahsedilmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde hacim tasarımında tekstil kullanımı incelenerek düşeyde kullanılan tekstiller, tavanda kullanılan tekstiller ve zeminde kullanılan tekstiller olarak üç grupta işlenmiştir. Tekstilin mobilyada kullanım alanları saptanmış, kullanıcıya sağladığı faydalar ve kullanıcı üzerindeki etkileri irdelenmiştir.Beşinci bölüm, sonuç bölümüdür. Bu bölümde yapılan araştırma sonucunda elde edilen verilerin değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır.
Throughout history, textile materials have been used as architectural elements which are covering the space and furniture, affecting the user's life and actions. Incorrect choices made by the designers cause the materials that affect the space not to integrate visually and functionally with the space. Therefore, in this thesis, the properties of the textiles from the raw material to the product were explained together with their effects on the communication between user and space.Visual, tactile, physical and psychological effects of textile materials were explained with visual examples and field studies. Investigations and comparisons have been made on the results of textile usage and these studies are aimed to assist in the selection of suitable systems and materials for the function in the interior spaces.The first part of the thesis is the introductory part where the purpose and the scope of the thesis were explained.In the second chapter, the process from the first use of textile in human life to the current technology was explained. The processes that the textile goes through from raw material to product were described respectively. In particular, the materials used in interior and furniture were selected then the guidelines have been developed to describe their characteristics and usage areas. It was intended to guide designers and users in product selection with these guides.In the third chapter, the effects of textures, patterns and colors perceived by the sensory organs of the human being were emphasized. With the help of schematic drawings, The effects of color and pattern of textile on interior space and human were mentioned.In the fourth chapter, the use of textiles in space design was examined in three groups as using textile on vertical, ceilings and floors. The usage areas of textile in furniture have been determined and the benefits provided to the user and the effects on them have been examined.The fifth chapter is the conclusion. In this chapter, the data obtained from the researches were evaluated.
