Publication: Elit genç erkek futbolcularda maksimum post aktivasyon potansiyeli etkisi için ideal dinlenme süresinin belirlenmesi
Abstract
Objective: The aim of the study was to determine which listening intervals (min) provide the highest efficiency in PAP applications in elite young male soccer players. Materials and Methods: A total of 18 male soccer players participated in the study. First, peak power output and jump height values of each soccer player were obtained by performing a multiple jump test with MyJump2 program. Then, the 3 repetition maximal forces of the football players were determined and divided into 3 groups. For PAP application, after 48 hours, the groups were asked to perform 3 repetitions of hexagonal bar (TRAP) squats with 85% of their maximal strength and then rest with 3 different rest periods (1 min - 4 min - 7 min). Each group was practiced in 3 different rest periods at 48 hours intervals. For the analysis of the data, skewness kurtosis values were examined and Oneway ANOVA analysis was performed. Results: The mean difference between 1 minute and 4 minutes was -1.22, which was not statistically significant (SE = 0.98, p = 0.65), Cohen's d was -0.41, indicating a small effect size. The mean difference between 1 minute and 7 minutes was -2.53 and statistically significant (SE = 0.98, p = 0.03), Cohen's d was -0.86, indicating a medium effect size. The mean difference between 4 minutes and 7 minutes was -1.30, not statistically significant (SE = 0.98, p = 0.56), Cohen's d -0.44, again showing a small effect size. Conclusion: As a result of the study, in parallel with the literature, it was observed that 7 minutes of rest time gave more significant results than 1 minute and 4 minutes.
