Abstract
Nesil, Dini ve Kültürel Değerler, Giresun ÖZET DİNİ VE KÜLTÜREL DEĞERLERİN TAŞIYICISI OLARAK ÜÇ NESİL (GİRESUN ÖRNEGİ) Bu çalışma, günümüzün değişen sosyo-kültürel ortamında, nesiller arasında dini ve kültürel değerlerde nasıl bir tutum farklılığının ortaya çıktığını araştırmaya yönelik yapılan bir saha araştırmasıdır. Araştırmanın evrenini, Giresun il merkezinde ikamet edip, doğma-büyüme Giresunlu olan 18 yaş üstü bireyler oluşturmaktadır. Bu araştırma, 2008 yıllı Ocak-Haziran aylarında arasında evrenden, basit tesadüfî örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen 62 denekle gerçekleştirilen görüşme ve 538 kişi üzerinde uygulanan anketlerden elde edilen bilgi ve verilere dayanmaktadır. Bu yönüyle çalışmada nitel ve nicel veri toplama teknikleri birlikte kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulardan hareketle, başta nesil (yaş grubu) olmak üzere, cinsiyet, eğitim, ekonomik, medeni, siyasi durum ve öznel dindarlık algısı gibi bağımsız değişkenler esas alınarak, dini ve kültürel değerlere yönelik tutum ve tutumlara yönelik değişim incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Giresun ilinde yaşayan üç neslin dini ve kültürel değerlere yönelik tutumları ve bu tutumların nesillere göre değişimini tespite yönelik yaptığımız bu çalışmamızın temel problemleri şunlardır: 1. Demografik değişkenler insanların dini ve kültürel değerlere yönelik tutumlarında bir farklılaşmaya yol açmakta mıdır? 2. Giresun’da toplumun sahip olduğu dini ve kültürel değerlerin toplumsal yaşayıştaki boyutları ve formları nasıl bir görünümde ortaya çıkmaktadır? 3. Giresun’da yaşayan üç neslin dini ve kültürel değerlere yönelik tutum ve davranışlarında bir farklılık söz konusu mudur? Bu araştırmayla, Doğu Karadeniz Bölgesi’nin önemli bir şehri olan Giresun örneğinden hareketle en azından bölgesel bir yönelimi tespit etmeyi hedefliyoruz. Giresun ilinin geçirdiği tarihsel sürecin, sahip olduğu toplumsal yapının ve yaşadığı sosyal değişimin, Türkiye’nin modernleşme süreci ve dinamikleriyle birçok açıdan benzerlikler gösterdiğini düşünmekteyiz. Dolayısıyla bu araştırmanın, nesiller arasındaki değer farklılaşmasına yönelik bölgesel bir yönelimi göstereceği düşüncesinin ötesinde, Türkiye geneline yönelik de bir takım yorumlar ve değerlendirmeler yapmaya da imkân vereceğini düşünmekteyiz.
THREE GENERATIONS AS A CARRIER OF RELIGIOUS AND CULTURAL VALUES (THE CASE OF GİRESUN) This study is a field research which aims to investigate the formation of the differences of attitude assumed by generations towards religious and cultural values in today’s changing socio-cultural environment. In the population of the study were included indiviuals, aged over 18, who are origionally from Giresun and live there. This study is based on both the interview with 62 subjects randomly selected from among the population of the research between January and June, 2008 and the data obtained from the questionairre carried out on 538 people. In the study was, therefore, used the qualitative and quantitive techniques of data collection together. Based on the results obtained, the study deals with the attitudes towards religious and cultural values and the change resulting from such attitudes in terms of such independent variables as principally generation (age group), sex, education, economic and political situation, marital status and subjective understanding of religion. The basic problems faced in this study, the aim of which is to determine the attitudes assumed by three generations who live in the Province of Giresun towards religious and cultural values and the changes in these attitudes from one generation to the other, are as follows: 1. Do demographic variables cause a differentation between people’s attitudes towards religious and cultural values? 2. In what form do the religious and cultural values which people from Giresun have appear in social life? 3. Does any difference appear between the attitudes assumed by the three geneartions living in Giresun towards religious and cultural values? One important aim of this study is to establish at least a regional attitude or tendency based on the sample of Giresun, an important city in Northern Black Sea Region. We think that the historical process the Province of Giresun has undergone, the social structure that Giresun has and the social transformation it has experienced are similar to the modernization process and dynamics of Turkey in many ways. We, therefore, think that apart from the fact that this study will indicate a regional tendency to value-differentation between generations, it will also enable those concerned to make comments and evaluations on Turkey in general.
