Mesleklerin ana kelimelerinin Türkçenin söz varlığına katkısı bakımından ele alınması

Abstract

Diller, kelimelerden oluşur. Gündelik hayatta kullanılan kelimelerin haricinde meslek hayatında kullanılan kelimeler de bulunmaktadır. Terim olarak ifade edilen bu kelimelerle üniversiteye veya meslek hayatına başlayan herkes karşılaşmaktadır. Bu terimlerin anlaşılmaması, hususiyetle üniversite döneminde daha büyük problemlere dönüşebilmektedir. Bu durum ana dili Türkçe olanların haricinde Türkçeyi sonradan öğrenen öğrenciler için de geçerlidir. Türkçeyi sonradan öğrenen bir öğrenci, hazırlık sınıflarında gündelik konuşma ve akademik anlamda belirli bir seviyeye gelebilse de mesleki terimlerle karşılaştığında problemler yaşayabilmektedir. Bu sebeple öğrenciler için açık, anlaşılır tanımlar oluşturulmağa çalışılmıştır. Bu kapsamda çalışmanın problemini “Mesleklerin ana kelimeleri, yabancılara Türkçe öğretimine ve Türkçenin söz varlığına nasıl katkı sağlar?” sorusu oluşturmaktadır. Öncelikle yarı yapılandırılmış bir yöntemle meslekler seçilmiştir. Meslek seçimlerini ardından görüşülecek şahıslar belirlenerek her bir meslek için bir-beş kişiyle görüşülmüştür. Tanımların oluşturulmasında görüşme yöntemi tercih edilmiştir. Görüşmeler esnek model çerçevesinde ilerletilerek görüşme yapılan şahsın durumuna göre şekillendirilmiştir. Çalışmada öğrencilerin görüşleri de alındıktan sonra belirlenen 30 meslek doğrultusunda akademisyen veya alanda çalışan toplam 87 kişiyle yüz yüze görüşme yapılmıştır. Bu kitledeki hedef, öğrencilerin üniversite eğitimleri veya meslek hayatlarında karşılaşacakları şahıslardan duyacakları terimleri onlara ulaştırmaktır. Yapılan görüşmeler neticesinde 1517 terime ulaşılmıştır. Bu terimlerin 123 tanesi, tekrarlar eklendiğinde 297 tanesi meslekler arası ortak kelimelerdir. Elde edilen bu tanımlar ve gelecekte bu yöntemle hazırlanacak sözlükler alana katkı sağlayacaktır.

Languages consists of words. Apart from the words used in daily life, there are also words used in professional life. Everybody who starts university or professional life is confronted with these words expressed as terms. Not to understand these terms can turn into bigger problems, especially during the university period. This is also valid for students who learn Turkish later, apart from those whose native language is Turkish. Although a student who learns Turkish later can reach a certain level in daily speaking and academic terms in preparatory classes, he may have problems when faced with professional terms. For this reason, it has been tried to create clear, understandable definitions for students. In this context, the problem of the study is How do the main words of the professions contribute to teaching Turkish to foreigners and Turkish vocabulary? constitutes the question. Firstly, professions were chosen with a semi-structured method. After the profession choices, the persons to be interviewed were determined and one to five people were interviewed for each profession. Interview method was preferred in the creation of definitions. The interviews were advanced within the framework of the flexible model and shaped according to the situation of the interviewee. After the opinions of the students were taken in the study, face-to-face interviews were made with academicians or working in the field total 87 people in line with 30 professions. The aim of this audience is to convey the terms that students will hear from the individuals they will encounter in their university education or professional life. As a result of the interviews, 1517 terms have been reached. 123 of these terms, when repeats are added 297 pieces are common words among professions. These definitions and dictionaries to be prepared with this method in the future will contribute to the field.
