Abstract
Amaç: Bu çalışma, İstanbul ilinde bir Aile SağlığıMerkezine başvuran bireylerin obezite durumunu saptamak amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapıldı.Yöntem: Araştırma İstanbul ilinde bir Aile SağlığıMerkezine 15 Şubat-25 Mayıs 2017 tarihleri arasında başvuran 185 birey ile gerçekleştirildi. Veri toplamada bireylerin sosyodemografik ve yaşam şekli ile ilgili sorular içeren anket kullanıldı. İstatiksel analizler için yüzdelik, frekans, ortalama ve ki-kare kullanıldı. Tüm testlerde anlamlılık seviyesi p<0,05 olarak ele alındı.Bulgular: Çalışmada, bireylerin yaş ortalamasının35,65±14,12 olduğu saptandı. Çalışmaya katılan bireylerin%59,5’i kadın %40,5’i erkekti. Bireylerin beden kitleindeksi ortalaması 26,13 kg/m2, bel çevresi ortalaması 87,7cm, kalça çevresi ortalaması 98,9 cm ve bel kalça oranı0,88 cm olarak bulundu. Bireylerin %22,16’sının obezolduğu saptandı (kadınların %25,45’i, erkeklerin %17,33’üobez). Kadınların %81,82’sinin bel/kalça oranı yüksek (0,8ve üstü) ve erkeklerin %4’ünün bel/kalça oranının (1 veüstü) yüksek olduğu görüldü. Cinsiyet ile beden kitle indeksi (p=0,265) ve bel/kalça oranı arasında (p=0,194) anlamlı ilişki saptanmadı. Çalışmada, obezite durumu ve yaşambiçimleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmadı.Sonuç: Çalışmada, bireylerin obezite oranının yüksekolduğu bulundu.
Objective: The research was done as a descriptive study to determine the obesity status of individuals who referred to a family health center in Istanbul. Method: The research was carried out with 185 individuals who referred to a Family Health Center in Istanbul between 15 February - 25 May 2017. Questionnaire form containing questions related to sosyodemographic and lifestyle of individuals was used for data collection. For statistical analysis, percentage, frequency, mean, and chi-square were used. Significance level was considered as p<0.05 in all tests. Results: The mean age of the individuals in the study was 35.65±14.12 years, and 59.5% of the individuals who participated in the study were women, 40.5% were men. The mean body mass index of the individuals was 26.13 kg/m2 , waist circumference was 87.7 cm, hip circumference was 98.9 cm and waist hip ratio was 0.88 cm. It was found that 22.16% of the individuals were obese (25.45% of women, 17.33% of men were obese). It was found that 81.82% of women (≥ 0.8), and 4% of men (≥1) had higher waist/hip ratios. Any significant correlation was not found between gender and body mass index (p=0.265) and also waist/hip ratio (p=0.194). There was no significant relationship between obesity and lifestyle of individulas in the study. Conclusions: Increased rates of obesity were found among study participants.
