Aile Sağlığı Merkezinde Eleman Değil Hemşire Olmak

Abstract

Dünya Sağlık Örgütü'ne göre "aile sağlığı hemşiresi kronik hastalıklar ve sakatlıklarla baş etmede, stres zamanları boyunca hastalara yardım etmek için zamanlarının büyük bölümünü birey ve aileler ile evlerinde çalışarak geçirir". Aile sağlığı hemşiresi halk sağlığındaki sağlığı koruma, geliştirme unsurlarını tedavi edici ve palyatif bakımla birleştirir; aile, toplum ve sağlık sistemleri arasındaki koordinasyonu kolaylaştırır. Dünya genelinde aile sağlığı merkezlerinde çalışan hemşireler aile sağlığı hemşiresi olarak adlandırılmakta, rol ve sorumlulukları bu doğrultuda belirlenmektedir. Ülkemizde ise aile sağlığı merkezinde çalışan hemşireler rol ve sorumlulukları açısından "aile sağlığı hemşireliği" kapsamında yer almakta; fakat "aile sağlığı elemanı" olarak adlandırılmaktadır. Bu makalenin amacı, aile sağlığı hemşireliği kavramını, tarihsel gelişimini, rol ve sorumluluklarını açıklamak ve ülkemizdeki mevcut durumu ortaya koymaktır. Bu makalenin aile sağlığı merkezlerinde çalışan hemşireler ve konu ile ilgilenen araştırmacılar için yararlı olacağı düşünülmektedir

According to the World Health Organization, “a family health nurse helps individuals and families cope with illness and chronic disability, or during times of stress, by spending a large part of their time working in patients’ homes and with their families”. Family health nurses combine the health protection and development elements of public health with therapeutic and palliative care. Family health nurses facilitate the coordination between family, community and health systems. Nurses who work in family health centers are called family health nurses worldwide, and family health nurses’ roles and responsibilities are deŞ ned in this context. In our country, nurses employed in family health centers work within the scope of family health nursing in terms of roles and responsibilities; however, they are called family healthcare personnel. The purpose of this article is to explain the concept of family health nursing, the historical development, the roles and responsibilities of nurses, and to reveal the current situation in our country. This article is considered to be useful for nurses who work in family health centers and researchers who interested in the subject
