Sosyal bilgiler dersindeki küresel eğitimle ilgili kazanımların iletişim teknolojileri kullanılarak öğretimi

Abstract

Küresel gelişmelerin etkisiyle her geçen gün gelişim gösteren iletişim teknolojileri öğrencileri, öğretmenleri ve öğrenme ortamlarını etkilemektedir. Bu doğrultuda iletişim teknolojileri destekli ve küresel bakış açısıyla tasarlanan Sosyal Bilgiler dersleri aracılığıyla öğrencilerin, geleceğe yönelik kararlar alan, farklı dünya koşullarına karşı çok boyutlu bakış açıları geliştiren, paylaşımcı, sorumluluk duygusu gelişmiş, eleştiren ve sorgulayan bireyler olmalarına katkı sağlanabilmektedir. Bu araştırmada da Sosyal Bilgiler dersinde küresel eğitimle ilgili kazanımların öğretiminde iletişim teknolojilerini (gazete, televizyon, video ve haber blogları) kullanarak uygulaması yapılan öğretimin öğrencilerin akademik başarısına ve bilginin kalıcılığına olan etkisinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır.

Communication technologies, which develop everyday with the influence of global advancements, affect students, teachers and learning environments. In this direction, Social Studies lessons assisted with communication technologies and designed with global perspective can contribute to students’ becoming individuals who take decisions about the future, who develop multidimensional perspectives to the state of the world, who are participative, responsible, critical and interrogator. The purpose of this study is to research the effects of teaching which is applied by using communication technologies (newspapers, television, video and news blogs) for teaching attainments about global education in social studies lesson on the academic achievement of students and the permanence of students’ knowledge.
