Toplam Kalite Yönetimi ve eğitimde uygulanması

Abstract

İçinde bulunduğumuz bilgi çağında ve küreselleşen dünyada ortaya çıkan rekabet koşulları firmaları klasik yönetim anlayışını terk etmeye ve 1980'li yıllardan itibaren Toplam Kalite Yönetimini uygulamaya zorlamıştır.Bu tez çalışmasında kalite kavramıyla birlikte, Toplam Kalite Yönetiminin tanımı, önemi,amacı, ilkeleri, temel öğeleri, işletmeye sağladığı yararlar, ve TKY'nin tarihçesi, Eğitimde Toplam Kalite Yönetimi konuları üzerinde durulmuştur. Tezin amacı, TKY uygulamalarının eğitim kurumlarının performansı üzerine etkilerini araştırmaktır. Bu amaç için 26 ana kategoriden oluşan toplam 130 soruluk bir ihtiyaç analizi anketi hazırlanmış, bu anketler okul yöneticileri, öğretmenler, destek personeli ve öğrenciler olmak üzere toplam 200 kişiye uygulanmıştır. Bu veriler SPSS paket programında değerlendirilmiştir, iyileştirilmeye açık alanlar tespit edilerek bu doğrultuda çalışmalar hızlandırılarak analiz sonuçları raporlandırılmıştır. Analiz sonuçları TKY uygulalamalarının eğitim kurumlarının performansı üzerine pozitif etkilerinin olduğunu göstermiştir.

The competitive conditions peculiar to the age of information and a globalizing world forced many firms to give up classical management approach and apply total quality management (TQM) from 1980's on. This thesis deals with the definition, importance, purpose, principles, fundemantal, elemets and the benefits of the total quality management, and TQM in education as well as concept of quality. The aim of the thesis is to investigate the effects of TQM applications on the performances of the educational institutions for that purpose a need analysis questionnaire consisting of 130 questions in 26 categories has been prepared and applied to 200 persons including school managers, teachers, support personnel and students. The data have been evaluated through the package program of SPSS, the fields open to improvement have been identified, and then the results have been draw up, it is show that the TQM applications have positive effects on the performances of educational institutions.
