Fen Bilgisi eğitiminde kullanılan öğretim metodlarının farklı bilgi düzeyindeki öğrenci başarısına etkisi

Abstract

FEN B_LG_S_ EG_T_M_NDE KULLANILAN ÖGRET_M METODLARININ FARKLI B_LG_ DÜZEY_NDEK_ ÖGRENC_ BASARISINA ETK_S_ ENDER TUNCALI ÖZET Bu çalısma, ilkögretim 6. sınıf Fen Bilgisi dersinde “sindirim, solunum ve dolasım sistemleri arasında iliskilendirme” konusunun, Bilgisayar Destekli Ögretim (Computer Based Instruction), Kavram Haritaları (Concept Mapping) ve Drama (Drama) yöntemleriyle ögretimini incelemektedir. Bu kapsamda, ileri düzey (expert) ve baslangıç düzeyindeki (naive) ögrencilerin basarıları karsılastırılmıs, farklılık ve benzerlikler tartısılmıstır. Fen bilgisi egitiminde kullanılan ögretim metodlarının farklı ögrenci gruplarının basarısına etkisi, ileri düzey (expert) ve baslangıç düzey (naive) gruplar olarak iki farklı gruba uygulanan üç farklı ögretim metodu ile grup sayıları 10 kisilik oldugundan non parametrik testlerle belirlenmistir. Bunun için SPSS 14.5 kullanılmıstır. Bu arastırmada elde edilen bulgulara dayanılarak su sonuca ulasılmıstır: “_lkögretim Fen bilgisi egitiminde kullanılan ögretim metodları farklı bilgi düzeyindeki ögrenci gruplarının basarısında etkin sekilde rol oynamaktadır. Ögrenci basarı düzeyine göre, uygun ögrenci grubuna en etkili ögretim teknigi kullanılmalıdır.” Bu sonuçtan yola çıkarak öneriler gelistirilmistir. Bu çalısmanın ögretmenlerin bu konuya dikkatlerini çekmesi ve bu alanda yapılacak çalısmalara kaynak olusturulması beklenmektedir. THE EFFECT OF THE METHODS USED IN TEACHING SCIENCE ON STUDENTS WITH DIFFERENT LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE ENDER TUNCALI

This study aims to examine teaching “the relationship between digestion, respiratory and circulation systems” in sixth grade Science classes by using Computer Based Instruction (CBI), concept mapping and drama. In this content, the expert and the naive students’ accomplishments are compared, differences and similarities are discussed. CBI, concept mapping and drama were applied on expert and novice groups of 10 students, that is why the effects of three different teaching methods on the accomplishment of different students were determined by non-parametric tests. SPSS 14.5 program was used to do so. By looking at the results of this experiment, the researcher has come to such a conclusion; “The methods used in teaching science in primary classes on students with different level of knowledge have great effect on students’ accomplishment. Suitable teaching methods should be applied, according to the students’ level of knowledge and way of understanding.” According to these results, some suggestions are made. It is expected that this study will take the teachers’ attention on this subject and will be a source for the other studies which will possibly be made in this field.
