Abstract

Perimesencephalic nonaneurysmal subarachnoidal hemorrhages (PMSAH) are distinct form of subarachnoidal hemorrhages and are benign in nature. 7 patients with PMSAH which were treated in our institution between 1986-2001 are presented in this report. All patients neurological exams revealed WFNS Grade I subarachnoidal hemorrhage. No vascular anomalies was found in neuroradiological examinations. Clinical situation of the all of the patients were without complications and after the conservative treatment they returned to their normal premorbid lifestyle. The benign nature and lower complication rate of this disease should be known and the patients should be informed.
