Bulvarlardan İstanbul caddelerine sinema

Abstract

Sinemanın Paris’in ortasında Capucines Bulvarı'nda doğuşunun modern kentin en büyük mucizelerinden birini beraberinde getirmekte olduğu henüz bilinmemekteydi. Doğduğu andan itibaren kentin bulvarları ve sokaklarıyla etkileşime giren sinema, İstanbul’a geldiğinde de bu etkileşimden geri kalmamıştı. Sinemanın İstiklal Caddesi üzerinde başlayan yolculuğu Fevziye Caddesi’ne, Sirkeci’ye, Şişli ve Kadıköy’e uzanırken bir yandan da sokaklar ve bulvarlar üzerinden tüm kenti sarmıştır. Orta yeri sinema olan ve önemli bir sinema alanı olan İstanbul sokakları hızlı şekilde sinema salonlarıyla dolmuş, sinemanın kendine has kültürü ve büyüsü her yanı sarmıştır. Bu çalışma sinema ve İstanbul’un kurduğu karşılıklı ilişkiyi ve modern İstanbul’un sinema salonlarıyla olan kültürel yolculuğunu irdelerken, bu salonların kent kültürü ve bulvar kültüyle olan ilişkisini incelemektedir.

Cinema was born on Capucines Avenue in the middle of Paris, it was not yet known that one of the greatest miracles of the modern city was coming. The cinema, which interacted with the boulevards and streets of the city from the moment it was born, did not stay behind this interaction when it came to Istanbul. The journey, which started on Istiklal Avenue, surrounded the city through streets and boulevards all around, as it extended to Fevziye Street, Sirkeci, Şişli and Kadıköy. The streets of Istanbul, which has a cinema in the middle and continues its existence as a cinema city, are filled with movie theaters, and the unique culture and magic of the cinema has pervaded all sides. The city itself has become integral to the cinema. While this study examines the mutual relationship between cinema and Istanbul and the cultural journey of modern Istanbul with movie theaters, it examines the relationship of these theaters with urban culture and boulevard culture.
