İbn Kayyim el-Cevziyye'nin Kur'an anlayışı ve tefsir yöntemi

Abstract

İslâm kültür ve düşünce tarihinde ortaya çıkan her mezhep ve ekolun en temel amacı, Kur’an ve Sünnet’ten oluşan dinî metinleri doğru bir şekilde anlama ve yorumlama çabası olmuştur. Bu bağlamda, genel olarak nassı anlama konusunda öne çıkan iki farklı yaklaşımdan söz edilebilir. İlk yaklaşım, akla dayalı her türlü yorumu reddederek yalnızca Kur’an ve Sünnet verilerini ve erken dönem âlimlerine ait âsârı dikkate alan, metinlerin zahiri/ literal anlamını esas alan bir yaklaşımdır. İkinci yaklaşım ise Kur’an ve Sünnet verilerinin yanı sıra akıl, rey ve te’vile de önem veren bir anlama ve yorumlama yöntemi benimser. Her iki yaklaşım içinde de zamanla birbirinden farklı yöntemler izleyen alt ekoller oluşmuştur. İbn Kayyim el-Cevziyye, Selefî metodolojiyi benimseyen bir düşünür olarak, İslâm toplumunun karşılaştığı sorunların çözümünü, akıl/ rey ve te’vil merkezli düşüncenin sınırlandırılarak Kur’an ve Sünnet odaklı bir yaklaşımın yeniden canlandırılmasında görmüştür. Bu çalışma, te’vile mesafeli bir duruş sergileyen ve Kur’an’ı doğru anlamak adına Selef metoduna dönüşü vurgulayan İbn Kayyim’in Kur’an anlayışını ve yorum metodolojisini ele almaktadır. İbn Kayyim, siyasî ve toplumsal açıdan önemli dönüşümlerin yaşandığı hicrî sekizinci yüzyılın önde gelen düşünürlerinden biridir. Her ne kadar Kur’an’ı baştan sona ele alan bir tefsir çalışması kaleme almamış olsa da yazdığı eserlerde anlamaya ve yorumlamaya ilişkin önemli bilgiler sunmaktadır. Müstakil bir tefsir eserinin bulunmaması onun bu alanda yeterince ön plana çıkmamasına sebep teşkil etmiş görünmekle birlikte eserlerinde yer alan yoğun Kur’an yorumu, ilmî bir titizlikle takip ettiği metodolojiyi ortaya koymaya değerdir.

In the history of İslâmic culture and thought, the primary aim of every sect and school of thought that emerged has been the effort to understand and interpret the religious texts composed of the Qur’an and Sunnah accurately. In this context, two distinct approaches to understanding the revealed texts (nass) can be mentioned. The first approach rejects any interpretation based on reason, considering only the data from the Qur’an and Sunnah, as well as the reports (āthār) of the early scholars, and emphasizing the literal/ explicit meaning of the texts. The second approach, on the other hand, adopts a method of understanding and interpretation that, along with the data from the Qur’an and Sunnah, also values reason (ʿaql), personal opinion (ra’y), and interpretation (ta’wil). Over time, sub-schools that followed different methods emerged within both approaches. Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah, as a thinker who adhered to the Salafi methodology, saw the solution to the problems faced by the İslâmic society in reviving a Qur’an and Sunnah-centered approach, while limiting thought centered on reason, personal opinion, and interpretation. This study focuses on Ibn Qayyim’s understanding of the Qur'an and his interpretive methodology, highlighting his stance against ta’wil and his insistence on returning to the Salafi method for correctly understanding the Qur'an. Ibn Qayyim was one of the prominent thinkers of the 8th century AH, a period marked by significant political and social transformations. Although he did not author a comprehensive work on the interpretation of the Qur’an (tafsir), his writings contain significant insights regarding understanding and interpretation. While the absence of an independent tafsir work has prevented him from gaining prominence in this field, the extensive Qur’anic interpretation present in his works is worthy of attention, revealing the rigorous methodology he followed.
