Andrew Charles Spencer Peacock (eserleri ve tarihçiliği)

Abstract

Bu çalışmada A.S.C. Peacock’un Büyük Selçuklular ve Türkiye Selçukluları tarihine dair çalışmaları değerlendirildi. Girişte Peacock’un çalışmalarının genel bir dökümü yapıldı. Birinci ve ikinci bölümlerde ise Peacock’un Büyük Selçuklu tarihine dair tespit, tenkit ve tezleri değerlendirildi. Üçüncü bölümde ise Peacock’un Türkiye Selçuklu tarihine dair muhtelif meseleleri ile ilgili görüşleri ele alındı. Bu çalışma için Peacock’un yayınlanmış kitap ve makaleleri tarandı. Peacock’un zikredilen dönem ve konularla ilgili görüşleri kronojik bir kurgu içinde değil, analitik bir yaklaşımla değerlendirilmeye tâbi tutuldu.

In this study, A.S.C. Peacock’s studies about the histories of The Great Seljuk Empire and The Seljuks of Anatolia have been studied. In the introduction a general list of his studies have been listed. In the first and second chapters his determinations, critiques and theses have been evaluated. In the third chapter, his opinions concerning various affairs in the Seljuk of Anatolia have been discussed.In this study, Peacock’s published books and articles have been analyzed. Peacock’s ideas concerning the said period and the subjects have been reviewed not in a chronological way but in an analytical approach.
