Publication: Malatya ili emniyet çalışanlarının eğitim düzeyleri ile mesleği algılayışları arasında ilişki üzerine bir araştırma
Abstract
Bireylerin algı, tutum ve davranış geliştirmelerinde en önemli faktörün eğitim olduğu bilinmektedir. Eğitimin; bir meslek mensubunun kendisi ve mesleğini algılama biçimini ve mesleki davranışlarını geliştirerek değiştireceği tezinden hareketle, Malatya ili emniyet teşkilatı mensuplarının eğitim düzeylerinin, mesleklerini algılamalarında, yorumlamalarında ve değerlendirmelerinde ne ölçüde etkili olduğunu araştırmak amacıyla bu çalışma planlanmıştır. Çalışmamızda literatür bilgilerine dayanarak hazırlanan ve 35 sorudan oluşan bir görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Veriler Malatya İl Emniyet Müdürlüğünde görevli çeşitli eğitim düzeyine sahip 143 polis ile yüz yüze görüşülerek elde edilmiş ve istatistiksel olarak yüzdelik hesaplama ile değerlendirilmiştir. Deneklerimizin %76.9’ unu erkekler, %78.3’ünü 30-39 yaş grubundakiler, %49’unu ise lise mezunları oluşturmaktadır. Deneklerin %96.5’i polisliği kendi arzusu ile seçmiştir. Polis Akademisi mezunları aldıkları eğitimi %63.6 oranında yeterli bulurken, diğer eğitim düzeyindeki polisler kısmen yeterli bulmaktadır. Polislerde eğitim düzeyi arttıkça, kendini geliştirme istek ve çabasının da arttığı saptanmıştır. Bu sonuçlara göre; polislerin kendi arzusu ile mesleği seçtikleri, kendilerini mesleğe ait hissettikleri, meslekten memnun oldukları, kendilerini geliştirme arzusu içinde oldukları görülmekle birlikte; kendilerini mesleki açıdan yeterli görmedikleri, mesleki terfi ve yükselme olanaklarını yeterli bulmadıkları, mesleğin aile ve sosyal yaşamlarına olumsuz yönde etki ettiği şeklinde görüş belirtmişlerdir. Çalışmamızda elde ettiğimiz bilgilere dayanarak, polislerin eğitim düzeyi arttıkça; kendilerini ve mesleği daha kapsamlı bir şekilde algıladıkları, çalışma koşullarından daha yüksek bir oranda memnun oldukları görülmekle birlikte çeşitli mesleki sorunlarının da mevcut olduğu söylenebilir.
It is known that the important factor in developing the perception, manner and behaivour is education. The level of education will change and develope the employee itself, the form of professional perceptionand Professional behaivour. The aim of this thesis is to determine the effectof the education level of the employees of the security organization on their professional perception, interpretation and determination. An interview form is used in this thesis. It is prepared according the literature and conists of 35 questions. The dat belong to the interviews made by 143 policemen working in Malatya Police Office. They have different educations levels. The data is analyzed by the statistical percentage calculation. %79.9 of these policemen are male, %78.3 of them is between 30-39 age interval and %49 of them graduated from high school. %96.5 of them preferred this job with their self request. The polecemen who graduated from Police Academy think that the education they have is sufficient at %63.6. Policemen having different education levels find the education they have partially sufficient. As the education levels increases, their wish and effort to develope themselves also increases. According to these results, it can be concluded that policemen choose their jobs with their wish, they feel that they belong to the job, they are satisfied with their jobs, they wish to develope themselves. In addition to these results, they also think that they are not sufficient professionally, they found the possibilities of career promotion too limited, they think that the job has negative effects on their social and family life. Finally, according to the data derived from this thesis, the professional and personal perception of policemen will expanel with the education level. The increase in education also increase the job satisfaction. But, there isi also different problems related to their jobs.
