Pandemi döneminde yenidoğan yoğun bakım ünitesinde yatan bebeklerin maternal bağlanma ilişkisinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Pandemi döneminde yenidoğan yoğun bakım ünitesinde yatan bebeklerin maternal bağlanma özelliklerinin taburculuktan sonraki 6. ayında incelenmesi amacıyla planlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Bu çalışma Retrospektif tanımlayıcı türde bir araştırma olarak 25.03.2022-20.06.2022 tarihleri arasında Göztepe Prof. Dr. Süleyman Yalçın Şehir Hastanesi’nde yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini 2021 yılının mayıs, haziran ve temmuz aylarında yenidoğan yoğun bakım ünitesinde 3 günden fazla yatan, 69 bebek ve anneleri oluşturmuştur. Araştırma verilerinin toplanması aşamasında; maternal bağlanma ölçeği ve veri toplama formu kullanıldı. Değişkenler sayı, yüzde, medyan, ortalama ve standart sapma şeklinde gösterildi. Bulgular: Maternal bağlanma ölçeğinden alınan minimum puanın 84, maksimum puanın 104, medyan puanı 98 ve ortalama puanın ise 97,26±4,97 olduğu saptandı. MBÖ ile anne yaşı, hastanede kalış süresi, doğum kilosu ve gestasyon yaşı arasındaki ilişki analizinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark saptanmadı (p>0,05). Sonuç: Pandemi döneminde annelerin bebekleriyle görüşememesi, araştırma yapılan hastanenin anne otelinin olmaması gibi etkenlerin bu çalışmada maternal bağlanma puan ortalamasını negatif yönde etkilemediği bulunmuştur. Olası bir başka pandemi sürecinde hastanelerdeki anne bebek oda sayılarının yeterli olması, gerekli önlemlerin alınarak anne ve bebeğin etkileşim halinde olmaları(ten tene temas, emzirme kucaklama gibi) sağlanmalıdır.

Objective: It was planned to examine the maternal attachment characteristics of infants hospitalized in the neonatal intensive care unit during the pandemic period, after the 6th month after discharge. Materials and Methods: This study is a retrospective descriptive study. The study was conducted between 25.03.2022-20.06.2022, at Göztepe Prof. Dr.Süleyman Yalçın City Hospital. The population of the study consisted of 69 infants and their mothers who were hospitalized in the neonatal intensive care unit for more than 3 days in May, June and July of 2021. Data collection form and Maternal Attachment Scale were used during the collection of research data.. Variables are represented as numbers, percentages, median, mean, and standard deviation. Results: The minimum score obtained from the maternal attachment scale was 84, the maximum score was 104, the median score was 98, and the mean score was 97.26±4.97. No statistically significant difference was found in the analysis of the relationship between maternal attachment scale and maternal age, length of hospital stay, birth weight and gestational age (p>0,05). Conclusion: It was found that factors such as the mothers' inability to meet with their babies during the pandemic period, and the lack of a mother hotel in the research hospital did not negatively affect the maternal attachment score average in this study. In the process of another possible pandemic, it should be ensured that the number of mother-baby rooms in hospitals is sufficient, that the mother and baby are in interaction (such as skin-to-skin contact, breastfeeding and hugs) by taking the necessary precaution
