ÖZET 12 EYLÜL ASKERİ DARBE SONRASI GAZETELERDEKİ MAGAZİNLEŞME EĞİLİMİ: CUMHURİYET GAZETESİ ÖRNEĞİ 12 Eylül 1980 askeri darbesi sonrasında sıkıyönetim komutanlığının gazetelere uyguladığı baskı ve sansür nedeniyle gazeteler, suya sabuna dokunmayan magazinel haberlere yönelmiştir. Ardından sektör dışı holding sahiplerinin basın sektörüne girmesi ve basının tekelleşmesi sonucunda artan ticari kaygılar nedeniyle basın, magazin gazeteciliğini daha fazla tiraj yakalamada araç olarak kullanmıştır. Bu çalışmada basının genel olarak darbeye karşı tutumu, askeri yönetimin basın üzerindeki baskıları ve 12 Eylül döneminden sonra basının magazinelleşmesi ele alınmıştır. Bu çalışma kapsamında 1980-1990 yılları arasındaki Cumhuriyet Gazetesi’nde yayımlanan haberler incelenmiştir. TABLOİDİZATİON TENDENCY IN THE NEWSPAPERS AFTER THE SEPTEMBER 12 COUP: CUMHURİYET DAİLY SAMPLE After the coup d’etat on 1980 September 12th, the pressure and cencorship which was applied by the military, destined newspapers to make superficial and ineffectual news. In addition, the penetration of big company holders into the media institutions and consequent monopolization of the mediums; tabloid journalism became a way to widen the circulation. In this study, the attitude of the media institutions toward the coup; the pressure of the military administration on the media and the tabloidazition of the press after the coup is discussed. In accordance with the issue, the news which was published at Cumhuriyet Gazetesi between the years 1980-1990 is examined.
