Yorumlayıcı modelle kaynak metin çözümleme çalışması: “La Parure” örneği

Abstract

Kaynak metin çözümleme yöntemlerinden biri de yorumlayıcı modeldir. Bu modelin temeli yorumlayıcı çeviri kuramına, diğer adıyla “anlam” kuramına dayanır. Bu çalışmanın amacını çeviri eğitiminde uygulanan yorumlayıcı modelle çeviri amaçlı kaynak metin çözümleme çabası oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada, Marianne Lederer’in La Traduction aujourd’hui (1994) adlı eserinde betimlediği yorumlayıcı modelle kaynak metin çözümleme yöntemi benimsenmiştir. Yorumlayıcı modelin çözümleme düzeyleri kuramsal temel, amaç, uygulama alan(lar)ı, kitle, eğitsel kullanım, uygulama biçimleri ile makrometinsel parametrelerin çözümünün yer aldığı içerik düzeyleri olarak belirtilmiştir. Bu çözümleme düzeyleri Maupassant’ın La Parure adlı öyküsüne uygulanmıştır. Çalışmanın yöntemi analitik bir nitelik taşımaktadır. Çalışmada, yorumlayıcı model çeviri süreci ve çeviri eğitimine uygulanışı açısından ele alınmıştır. Sonuç olarak, yorumlayıcı modelin akademik ve meslekî çevrelerde olduğu kadar çeviri eğitiminin başlangıç düzeyinde de kolayca uygulanabileceği ifade edilebilir. Bir yandan öğrencilerin karar alma yeteneğini destekleyeceği, çeviri edinci ve farkındalığını geliştireceği; diğer yandan öğreticilerin metin seçim ölçütlerini geliştireceği, çeviri sorunlarını düzenleyip değerlendirme ölçütleri geliştirmelerine katkı sağlayacağı söylenebilir.

One of the source text analysis methods is the interpretive model. The basis of this model is based on the interpretive theory of translation, in other words the theory of meaning. The aim of this study is to analyze the source text for translation with the interpretative model applied in translation education. In the study, the source text analysis method was adopted with the interpretive model described by Marianne Lederer in her work La Traduction aujourd'hui (1994). The analysis levels of the interpretive model are specified as the theoretical basis, purpose, application area(s), public, didactic exploitation, practical modalities, and content levels that include the solution of macrotextual parameters. These levels of analysis were applied to Maupassant's story La Parure. The method of the study is analytical. In the study, the interpretive model is discussed in terms of the translation process and its application to translation education. As a result, it can be stated that the interpretive model can be easily applied to the initial level of translation education as well as to academic and professional environments. On the one hand, it will support students' decision-making skills and improve their translation competence and awareness; on the other hand, it can be said that the instructors will improve the text selection criteria, edit the translation problems and contribute to the development of evaluation criteria.
