Publication: Kemoterapi gören kanserli çocukların annelerinin algıladıkları sosyal desteğin ve yaşam kalitesinin incelenmesi
Abstract
Bu tanımlayıcı tip araştırma, kemoterapi gören kanserli çocukların annelerinin algıladıkları sosyal desteğin ve yaşam kalitesinin incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklem grubunu Marmara Üniversitesi Pendik Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi hematoloji-onkoloji servisinde, polikliniğinde ve ayaktan kemoterapi merkezinde tedavi gören kanserli çocukların anneleri oluşturmuştur. Yaşam kalitesini ölçmek için Kanser Hastasına Bakım Veren Aile Üyelerinin Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği, sosyal desteği ölçmek için Çok Boyutlu Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Annelerin %31.8’i 39-45 yaş aralığında ve %37.05’i ilköğretim mezunudur. While the marital status of the mothers of children with cancer, their social security did not affect the quality of life, the scores of social support scale of the mothers who had no blood relation with their spouse, who were supposed to look after another patient, who were aged and had no younger kids were found to be significantly high. (p<0,05). Mothers who have children suffering from cancer spare all their time for their sick children and cannot get enough support in the course of the disease, which affect their quality of life in a negative way. In order to solve such problems, necessary educational and expert support should be provided for children with cancer and their mothers while also improving their living conditions.
