Temel basketbol becerilerinde kullanılan el ayak tercihi ile dominant el ve ayak ilişkisinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu tez çalışmasının konusu: Dominant el ve ayağın saptanması ve temel basketbol becerilerinde kullanılan el ve ayak tercihi ile ilişkisinin incelenmesidir. Amaç: El ve ayak tercihi saptamanın basketbol eğitimindeki önem ve etkisini ortaya koymaktır. El tercihinin ölçülmesinde “Yenilenmiş Waterloo El Tercihi Anketi (Waterloo Handedness Questionnaire-Revised)”, ayak tercihinin ölçülmesinde “Yenilenmiş Waterloo Ayak Tercihi Anketi (Waterloo Footedness Questionnaire-Revised)” Türkçe’ye uyarlanarak kullanıldı. Seçilen 7 temel basketbol becerisindeki el ve ayak tercihi, oluşturulan sormaca ile saptandı. Temel basketbol becerilerini bilen, yarışmacı düzeyde deneyimli 185 basketbol sporcusunun (erkek: n=121 ve bayan: n=64) %8.65’i sol el ve %91.35’i sağ el; %80,54 sağ ayak, %15,68’i sol ayak ve %3,78’i her iki ayağı eşit tercih etmekteydi. Sporcuların 7 temel basketbol becerisindeki yan tercihleri ile el ve ayak tercihleri arasındaki ilişki incelendi. YWETA’da belirtilen el tercihiyle tek zamanlı stop yapıldığında pivot ayağı olarak tercih edilen ayağın arasında bir uyuşma olmadığı saptanmıştır (Fexact=5,978; p>0,05). Tek zamanlı stop yapıldığında pivot ayağı olarak tercih edilen sağ (%31,40), sol (%38,9) ve her iki ayağı kullanma (%29,70) oranları birbirine yakın dağılmışlardır.

The subject of this thesis comprises the determination of dominant hand and foot and also relationship between hand and foot preferences which are being used in the basic basketball skills. Purpose of this study is to reveal the importance and the effect of the determination of hand and foot preferences in basketball training. For measuring the hand and foot preferences “Waterloo Handedness Questionnaire-Revised” and “Waterloo Footedness Questionnaire-Revised” were used both by being modified into Turkish. Hand and foot preferences for 7 basic basketball skills were determined from the questionnaires applied. Tests were applied to185 basketball game players (number of men: 121, women: 64), who are closely related and familiar to the basketball skills. From the total basketball game players, 8.65% preferred left hand, 91.35% preferred right hand, 15.68% preferred left foot, 80.54% preferred right foot, and 3.78% preferred both two feet equally. Relationship between hand and foot preferences and side preferences during 7 basic basketball skills was examined. Any relation could not be found between the preference of hand expressed in YWETA and the preference of pivot foot when there is a stop (F(exact)= 5,978; p>0,05). Pivot foot preferences when there is a stop is found to be distributed closely (left: 38.9%, right 31.40%, both left and right: %29.70).
