Abstract
Turkey has hosted various waves of migration in different periods throughout history and has experienced various consequences of these migrations. Especially after the collapse of the Soviet Union, there has been an increase in migration to Turkey due to conflicts, economic difficulties and political uncertainties. The main reasons for these migrations include factors such as war, political persecution, economic crises and natural disasters. As a result of these migrations, there has been a rapid increase in the number of migrants in Turkey, especially in Istanbul, which has more social opportunities, and the crime rate has also increased due to this increase. In this study, the crimes and crime rates of the immigrants who came to Istanbul from the Soviet Union between 1991-2001 are analyzed.
