Publication: Toksoplazmik papillit ve jukstapapiller retinokoroidit
Abstract
Amaç : Bu çalışma toksoplazmik papillit ve jukstapapiller retinokoroidit ile takip edilen olguların klinik bulgu. seyir ve sonuçlarını incelemek amacı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yöntem : Bu çalışmada kliniğimiz uvea birimince takip ve tedavi edilen toksoplazmik papillitli bir olgu ve jukstapapiller retinokoroiditi olan üç olguya ait kayıtlar incelendi. Jukstapapiller retinokoroidit optik diskin 2 mm komşuluğunda gelişen retinokoroidit olarak tanımlanmıştır. Sonuçlar : Tüm olguların Toxoplasma gondii´ye karşı serum IgG antikoru pozitif bulunmuştur. Görme keskinliği etkilenen tüm gözlerde toksoplazmaya karşı uygun tedavi ile tam düzelme gösterirken beklenenden daha şiddetli bir enflamatuar yanıtı düşündüren görme alanı kayıpları göze çarpmıştır. Tartışma : Unilateral papillitin ayırıcı tanısında toksoplazmozis akla gelmelidir. Jukstapapiller toksoplazma retinokoroiditi olan olgularda optik sinir başı beklenenin ötesinde etkilenebilmektedir
Purpose : To describe the clinical findings. course and outcome of toxoplasmic papillitis and juxtapapillary retinochoroiditis. Methods : The medical files of one patient with papillitis and three patients with juxtapapillary retinochoroiditis associated with toxoplasmosis were reviewed. Juxtapapillary retinochoroiditis was defined as lesions occurring within 2 mm of the optic nerve head. Results : All patients had positive serum IgG antibodies against Toxoplasma gondii. Visual acuity improved after specific treatment directed against toxoplasmosis in all eyes. however a persistent visual field defect indicating a more pronounced inflammatory response than that would be expected was evident. Conclusion : Toxoplasmosis should be included in the differential diagnosis of unilateral papillitis. In eyes with juxtapapillary lesions the optic nerve head was more profoundly affected than that would be expected.
