Aristo’ya atfedilen anonim baytarname : (vr. 48b-105b) : giriş-metin-dizin-tıpkıbasım)

Abstract

Bu tez, at hastalıkları ve tedavi yöntemlerini anlatan Aristo’ya atfedilen anonimleºmiº baytarnāmelerden, İstanbul’da bulunan Süleymaniye Kütüphanesinin Damad İbrahim Paºa bölümünde 927 numarada kayıtlı Kitābu Baytar-nāme adlı çeviri eserin 48b-105b varakları üzerinde yapılan bir dil çalıºmasıdır. İslam kaynaklarında ilk baytarnāmenin, Aristo (MÖ 384-322) tarafından yazıldığı kabul görmektedir. Aristo’ya atfedilen söz konusu eserin Abbasiler döneminde Arapça’ya tercüme edildiği düºünülmektedir. Eserin daha sonra Arapça’dan Farsça ve Türkçe’ye çevirisi yapılmıºtır. Üzerinde çalıºtığımız eserin mütercimi ve tercüme tarihi belli değildir. Dil özelliklerine bakıldığında XV. yüzyılda tercüme edildiği tahmin etmekteyiz. Üzerinde çalıºtığımız eser müstakil bir eserdir. Fakat baºka bir müstakil baytarnāmenin sonuna eklenmiºtir. Eserin konusu at hastalıkları ve tedavi yöntemleridir. Bu çalıºma; giriº, metin, dizin ve tıpkıbasım olmak üzere dört bölümden oluºmaktadır. Giriº bölümünde, eserin yazarı, mütercimi, tercüme tarihi, ve bu çalıºmaya konu olan Kitābu Baytar-nāme hakkında bilgiler verilmiº, eserin özeti yapılmıº ve metnin dil ve imla özellikleri değerlendirilmiºtir. Eser sekiz bölümden oluºmaktadır. İkinci bölüm 13, yedinci bölüm 46 ve sekizinci bölüm 36 kısma ayrılmıºtır. Metin bölümünde, eserin 48b-105b varaklarının transkripsiyonlu metni bulunmaktadır. 58 varaktan oluºan eserde satır sayısı on birdir. Dizin bölümünde, transkripsiyonu yapılmıº metinde yer alan tüm kelime ve kelime grupları verilmiºtir. Kelimeler anlamlandırılırken kelimelerin metindeki anlamları esas alınmıºtır. Genel dizinden ayrı olarak hastalık ve bitki adları dizinleri de düzenlenmiºtir. Çalıºmanın sonunda, eserin tamamının tıpkıbasımı yer almaktadır.

This dissertation is a linguistic study on the pages 48b-105b of the translation of Kitābu Baytar-nāme that was attributed to Aristo. It is registered in number 927 at Damad İbrahim Pasha Department in Süleymaniye Library in İstanbul. It is about horse diseases and their treatment methods. It is thought that the first Baytar-nāme in İslamic resources was written by Aristotle (BC 384-322). This work which is refered to Aristotle was translated into Arabic the period of Abbasids. Later from Arabic it was translated into Persian and Turkish. The translator of this work and the date of translation are not known. According to the grammatical features’ studies by the author of the work, the text was made in the 15th century. The work is accepted as an independent work. However it was further added to another separate and independent baytarname as a supplement. The main topic of the thesis is concerned with horses and their illnesses. This dissertation has four parts; introduction, text, index, facsimile. At the introduction part some information is given about the author, the interpreter, date of the translation, and also the information about Kitābu Baytar-nāme. And than text was summarised and the text's language and spelling features are evaluated. The work consists of eight chapters. Second chapter is 13, seventh chapter is 46 and eighth chapter is devoted 36 sections. In the text part, there is a transcription text of the pages 48b-105b of the book. In the text studied, there are 58 sheets and 11 lines in each paper. In the index part, all the words and word groups on the transcripted text are given. While the words are explaining, their meanings on the text are rested. In addition to the general index, a specific one is given presenting the names of the illnesses and plants. At the end of the work, a copy of the original script (facsmile) is presented.
