Abstract
Bu araştırma, sürdürülebilir kalkınma perspektifinden yeşil finansın evrimini ve finans sektöründeki sürdürülebilirlik uygulamalarının temel zorluklarını incelemeyi amaçlamıştır. Sürdürülebilir kalkınma, çevresel, sosyal ve ekonomik boyutları içeren bir bütünsellikle ele alındığında, finans sektörünün bu kapsamda oynadığı rolü anlamak, sürdürülebilirlik hedeflerine ulaşmak adına kritik öneme sahiptir. Araştırmanın ilk bölümünde, sürdürülebilir kalkınmanın temel prensipleri ve bu prensiplerin finans sektörüne yansımaları detaylı bir şekilde ele alınmıştır. Yeşil finansın çevresel, sosyal ve ekonomik boyutlarına odaklanarak, finansal kararlar üzerindeki etkileri incelenmiş ve sürdürülebilir kalkınmanın finansal dünyadaki önemine vurgu yapılmıştır. İkinci bölümde, yeşil finansın tanımı ve temel unsurları üzerine odaklanılmıştır. Finansal araçlar ve stratejiler aracılığıyla çevresel sürdürülebilirliği desteklemeyi amaçlayan yeşil finans, bu bölümde kapsamlı bir şekilde analiz edilmiştir. Yeşil finansın evrimi, finans sektörünü dönüştürme süreci ve sürdürülebilir projelere yönelik yatırımlar bu bağlamda detaylı bir şekilde ele alınmıştır. Araştırmanın üçüncü bölümü, yeşil finansın toplumsal ve ekonomik etkilerine odaklanmıştır. Yeşil finansın sadece çevresel sürdürülebilirlikle sınırlı kalmayıp aynı zamanda toplumun refahını ve ekonomik kalkınmayı nasıl etkilediği incelenmiş ve bu etkilerin geniş bir perspektiften değerlendirilmesi sağlanmıştır. Son bölümde, araştırmanın ana bulguları özetlenmiş ve sürdürülebilir kalkınma perspektifinden yeşil finansın önemi vurgulanmıştır. Ayrıca, gelecekteki araştırmalara yönelik öneriler sunularak, bu alandaki bilgi boşluklarının doldurulmasına katkı sağlanmıştır.
This research aimed to examine the evolution of green finance from a sustainable development perspective and the main challenges of sustainability practices in the financial sector. When sustainable development is considered holistically, including environmental, social, and economic dimensions, understanding the role played by the financial sector in this context is critical to achieving sustainability goals. In the first part of the research, the basic principles of sustainable development and the reflections of these principles on the financial sector are discussed in detail. By focusing on green finance's environmental, social, and economic dimensions, its effects on financial decisions were examined and the importance of sustainable development in the financial world was emphasized. The second part focuses on the definition and basic elements of green finance. Green finance, which aims to support environmental sustainability through financial instruments and strategies, has been comprehensively analyzed in this chapter. The evolution of green finance, transforming the financial sector, and investments in sustainable projects are discussed in detail in this context. The third part of the research focused on the social and economic impacts of green finance. It has been examined how green finance is not only limited to environmental sustainability but also affects the welfare of society and economic development, and these effects have been evaluated from a broad perspective. In the last section, the main findings of the research are summarized and the importance of green finance from a sustainable development perspective is emphasized. Additionally, suggestions for future research were provided to fill the knowledge gaps in this field.
