Hospital informations systems and decision support to hospital administrator

Abstract

İşletmeler anlık durumlarını görebilmek, ileriye daha net bakabilmek, üretimlerini planlayabilmek gibi birçok amaç için bilgi sistemlerinden faydalanırlar. Kullanım alanlarının genişlemesi ve gerekliliklerinin anlaşılması ile birlikte Bilgi Sistemleri günümüzde işletmeler için en önemli varlıklar haline gelmektedir. Diğer tüm işletmeler gibi Sağlık Hizmetleri veren kuruluşlar da Bilgi Sistemlerinden yararlanmaktadır. Hatta sağlık hizmetleri için işlemlerin daha hızlı, verimli ve ucuz yapılması, geçmişe dönük bilgilere daha hızlı ulaşılması gibi kolaylıklar hayati önem taşımaktadır. Ayrıca sağlık hizmetlerinde sıfır hata hedefine ulaşmak için bilgi sistemlerinin kullanılması zorunludur denilebilir, bu hedefe yaklaştıkça hasta bakım sürecindeki kalite de artar. Tezimin ilk bölümünde konuya kısa bir başlangıç yaptım. İkinci Bölümünde Hastanelerin organizasyon yapısından ve Hastane yönetiminden bahsettim, üçüncü Bölümde Hastane Bilgi Sistemlerini tanıtmaya çalıştım, dördüncü bölümde bir hastane yazılımının fonksiyonlarını ve bir örnekte de hastanenin hangi bölümlerinin bir hastane bilgi sistemine nasıl ihtiyaç duyduğunu sunmaya çalıştım. Beşinci bölümde araştırmayı nasıl yaptığımdan bahsettim. Altıncı bölümde Türkiye ve dünyadan toplam onbeş adet hastane yazılımını inceledim. Yedinci bölümde karşılaştırmalar yaptım ve araştırma sonucu ulaştığım bulguları yansıttım. Yedinci bölümün sonunda ise hastane yöneticisine vereceği kararlarda destek olmak üzere tasarlanmış bazı sistemleri tanıttım. Son Bölümlerde de genel bir değerlendirme yaptım ve Hastane Bilgi Sistemlerinin gelecekteki durumunu tartıştım. Organisations make use of information systems for different purposes, to see their current position and to see their future more clearly and hence to be able to plan their production in advance. Parallel with extending use of field and realising their necessity, Information Systems became more important assets for today’s organisations. Health care organisations also use information systems as the same as other organisations. For health services, retrieving past data and performing operations more quickly and less costly are crucially important. Besides, we can say that the use of Information Systems is imperative to provide the minimum error level, so that improves patient care in Health Services. In the first chapter of my thesis, I have made a small beginning to the subject. In the second chapter, I have mentioned the organisation structure of the hospitals and hospital management. Next, I have tried to explain Hospital Information Systems. In the fourth chapter, I have indicated the functions of a hospital software. Moreover, I have tried to present which hospital department needs which information system with a given example. Fifth chapter is Methodology part. In the sixth chapter, I have examined fifteen hospital softwares in both Turkey and World. In the seventh chapter, I applied comparisons and I stated my research findings. In the end of the seventh chapter, I mentioned the systems that were designed to support hospital managers’ decisions. In the last chapters, I have evaluated my study as a whole. Therefore, I have discussed the future of HIS.
