Abstract
LOJİSTİK SİSTEMDE DEPOLAMANIN ÖNEMİ VE PERAKENDE SEKTÖRÜNDE BİR UYGULAMA Küreselleşmeyle birlikte oluşan yeni dünyada eski kalıplar ve standartlar gün geçtikçe hızlı bir şekilde değişmekte, bu hıza ayak uyduramayan firmalar da zamanla yok olma tehlikesiyle karşı karşıya kalmaktadır. Çağın gerektirdiği teknoloji, bilgi ve işgücüne sahip olan firmalar ise kendi yerlerini sağlamlaştırmakta ve yeni yatırımlar yapmak için gerekli olan gücü ve enerjiyi kendilerinde görmektedirler. Lojistik sektörü de bu hızlı gelişim ve değişimin yaşandığı sektörlerin başında gelmektedir. Lojistiğe bakış eskiye göre oldukça değişmiş, eskiden sadece bir malın bir yerden bir yere taşınması olarak algılanan lojistik günümüzde Council of Logistics Management'ın tanımında da belirtildiği gibi müşterilerin ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak üzere her türlü ürün, servis hizmeti ve bilgi akışının hammaddesinin başlangıç noktasından, ürünün tüketildiği son noktaya kadar olan hareketin, etkili ve verimli bir şekilde planlanması, uygulanması, taşınması, depolanması ve kontrol altında tutulması hizmetidir. Lojistik sistem içinde birçok temel faaliyet bulunmakla birlikte, depolama bu faaliyetler içinde en önemli konuma sahip olanıdır. Depolama olmadan mallar sadece taşıma faaliyetiyle üreticiden tüketiye ulaşma durumunda kalır ki, bu da imkansız bir durum oluşturmaktadır. Depo işletme için çok kritik bir konumdadır. Çünkü depo; hammadde, yarı mamul ve mamulün çok farklı nedenlerle ve farklı dönemlerde tutulduğu ve saklandığı bir yerdir. Yani depolama; ürünlerin alıcıya ulaşana kadar geçen süre içindeki tutma ve saklama faaliyetlerinin tümünü gerçekleştirir. Bu nedenle depolama, üretici ve müşteri arasında ayrılmaz bir noktada yer almaktadır. Tezin son bölümünde, bu bölüme kadar anlatılan lojistik ve depolama kavramlarının bir uygulama çalışması yapılmış ve gıda perakendeciliği sektöründe faaliyet gösteren Türkiye'nin en büyük kuruluşlarının lojistik sistemine ait depolama faaliyetlerine verdikleri önem üzerine bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Sonuç ve öneriler bölümünde, hazırlanan tezin konu ve uygulama kısımları birlikte değerlendirilmiş, çeşitli yorum ve önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
IMPORTANCE OF WAREHOUSING in LOGISTICS SYSTEM and a CASE in RETAILING SECTOR In the new globalized world the old patterns and standards are rapidly changing and corporations that cannot follow this trend facing the threat of being out of the race. Those corporations where they have all the technology, knowledge and workforce of the modern age are strengthening their existence and gaining more power and energy for the future investments. Logistics is one of the major sectors where this evolution is taking place. View of logistics have changed a lot in years; as only it was recognized as moving goods from somewhere to another place, today as in the definition of Council of Logistics Management; it is the service of moving, effective and efficient planning, application, warehousing and controlling of all kinds of product, service and information flow raw materials from the starting point to the last point they are consumed. Although there are various main activities in logistics system, warehousing is the most important issue of all. Without warehousing, goods are to be delivered directly from manufacturer to consumer where this portrays an impossible situation. Warehouse has a critical role for corporations. After all; warehouse is a place where raw materials, semi-goods and goods are held and stored for various reasons at various times. That means warehousing covers all the activities of holding and storing between the time goods are delivered to the buyer. That is why warehousing is at such an important point between manufacturer and the customer. In the final section of the thesis you will find the research where a case of all logistics and warehousing patterns covered till now and also the study of Turkey's major retailing companies' view of the importance of warehousing regarding logistics system. In the chapter of result and recommendations; the main subject and case are discussed together as well as various comments and recommendations are made.
