Abstract
Makalenin sonunda yazma
nüshanın ilgili varaklarının fotoğrafları okuyucunun istifadesine sunulacaktır.
The period between the early 13th century and the late 15th century, when Turkish written language is said to have first appeared, is called Old Anatolian Turkish period. It is also known as the period when the roots of the classical Turkish literature was formed. By means of a number of research on the early classical Turkish literature, the literary figures and their works that represent this period have been revealed, determining a framework for the literature of the period, as well as enabling to keep track of the development of the Turkish language in literary field. This article seeks to explore one of the leading figures of the early classical Turkish poetry, Yahyaoğlu, despite the fact that finding useful information in the studies on his life is an illusive task. A few of his poems in a periodical, Nazire, and his recently discovered Divançe (small book of poetry), however, have made it possible to display his literary personality and the stylistic features that characterize his lyrics, Ghazals. In this study, the handwritten copy of his poems labelled by a catalogue number - 251/811- at Medina Sheikh ul-lslam Arif Hikmet Bey Library will be examined and their orthographic features will be illustrated. A critical comparative analysis of these mutual poems will be carried out and the transcribed form of all of his 54 poems will be given. The final part of the article is intended to introduce the potential readers to the pictures of the related pages of the handwritten copy.
