Publication: Halk eğitimi merkezlerince yürütülen yetişkinler okuma-yazma öğretimi ve temel eğitim programının etkililiğinin öğretmen görüşlerine göre değerlendirilmesi
Abstract
HALK EĞİTİMİ MERKEZLERİNCE YÜRÜTÜLEN YETİŞKİNLER OKUMA-YAZMA ÖĞRETİMİ VE TEMEL EĞİTİM PROGRAMININ ETKİLİLİĞİNİN ÖĞRETMEN GÖRÜŞLERİNE GÖRE DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ Bu araştırma 2009–2010 eğitim-öğretim yılında Halk Eğitimi Merkezlerince sürdürülen Yetişkinler Okuma-Yazma Öğretimi ve Temel Eğitim nın (I. kademe) etkililiğini, öğretmen görüşlerinden yararlanarak değerlendirmek için yapılan betimsel nitelikli bir çalışmadır. Araştırmanın evrenini, İstanbul Halk Eğitimi Merkezlerince yürütülen, Yetişkinler Okuma-Yazma Öğretimi ve Temel Eğitim kademe) uygulayan sınıf öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi ise İstanbul’un değişik ilçelerinden seçilmiş 18 Halk Eğitimi Merkezinde I. Kademe Okuma-Yazma Öğretimi Programını uygulayan sınıf öğretmenlerinden oluşmaktadır. Uygulamaya 119 sınıf öğretmeni katılmıştır. Bu araştırmada Öğretmen Kişisel Bilgi Formu (ÖKBF) ve Yetişkinler Okuma-Yazma Öğretimi ve Temel Eğitim kademe) Değerlendirme Anketi’nden yararlanılmıştır. Her iki ölçme aracı Çıraklık ve Yaygın Eğitim Genel Müdürlüğü’nce hazırlanan I. Kademe Okuma-Yazma Öğretimi temel alınarak araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilmiştir. Veri toplama aracı 2 bölümden oluşmuştur. Birinci bölümde on altı maddeden oluşan öğretmenlerin kişisel bilgilerine ait değişkenler yer almış, ikinci bölümde ise Yetişkinler Okuma-Yazma Öğretimi ve Temel Eğitim Programına (I. kademe) ilişkin Yöntem, Kazanım, İçerik, Değerlendirme ve Uygulamada Karşılaşılan Güçlükler boyutları ile ilgili “Tamamen Katılıyorum”, “Katılıyorum”, “Kararsızım”, “Katılmıyorum” ve “Hiç Katılmıyorum” seçeneklerinden oluşan 60 maddelik program değerlendirme (5’li likert) anketine yer verilmiştir. Dolaysıyla öğretmenler için hazırlanan, öğretmen kişisel bilgi formu ve program değerlendirme anketi toplam 76 maddeden oluşmuştur.
EVALUATING THE ACTIVITY OF ADULT LITERACY INSTRUCTION AND BASIC EDUCATION PROGRAM WHICH IS CARRIED OUT BY THE CENTER OF PUBLIC EDUCATION ACCORDING TO TEACHERS’ OPINION This research is a descriptive study that has been done by getting benefit from the teachers’ opinion to evaluate the activity of Adult Literacy Instruction and Basic Education Program (1. stage) which is carried out by the Center of Public Education in 2009-2010 academic year. The scope of the study, conducted by the Istanbul Center of Public Education (1. stage), consisted of homeroom teachers, who apply the Adult Literacy Instruction and Basic Education Program. The samples also consisted of the homeroom teachers who apply the First Stage Literacy Instruction Program in eighteen Center of Public Education have been selected from Istanbul’s various districts. 119 teachers participated in application. In this study, Teachers’ Personal Information Form (ÖKBF) and Adult Literacy and Basic Education Training Program (1. stage) Evaluation Survey were used. Both measurement instruments, which were prepared by General Directorate of Apprenticeship Training and Mass Education, were developed by the researcher based on the first Stage Literacy Instruction Program. Instrument of data collection consisted of two parts. In the first section, there are sixteen items comprising the teachers’ personal information belonging to the variables, in the second part there is a program evaluation survey that consisted of 60 items and options “Completely Agree, Agree, Neither Agree Nor Disagree, Disagree, Completely Disagree” concerning the aspect s of ”Method, Outcome, Content, Evaluation and Practice Difficulties” related to Adult Literacy Instruction and Basic Education Program (1. Stage). Therefore teacher personal information form and program evaluation survey, prepared for teachers, was consisted of 76 items.
