Publication: Kişilerarası iletişim süreçlerinde niyet kavramı
Abstract
Veriler: “Niyetin Kavramsal Çerçeve Boyutu”, “Niyetin Disiplinler Arası İlişki Boyutuna” yönelik bulgular: “Teoloji” ve “Disiplinler arası ilişki” temaları; “Niyetin İletişim Boyutuna” yönelik bulgular: “İletişim”, “Siyasal İletişim”, “Sözsüz İletişim” ve “Sözlü İletişim” temaları; “Niyetin Kişilerarası İletişim Boyutuna” yönelik bulgular: “Algı Niyet İlişkisi”, “Niyetin Yönü”, “Kişilerarası İletişim” temaları; “Niyetin İletişim Engeli Boyutuna” yönelik bulgular: “Niyet Okuyuculuğu”, “Kişilerarası İletişim Engeli” temaları çerçevesinde 18 akademisyenle görüşülmüş, MAXQDA mlenmiş ve yorumlanmıştır.
To manage their thoughts and adapt to life, people must store various stimuli and transform them into conscious actions. This necessity comes from the nature of life. The concepts of emotion, thought, self and attitude shape the cultural life of individuals. By transforming the stored experiences into a conscious state, the individual may gain the benefit or eliminate the harm. This orientation is explained with the scope of intention, which expresses the preliminary step of conscious processes. The study's objective is to identify the relationship between intention and interpersonal communication qualitatively. The remainder of this dissertation is as follows: In the first part, the concept of intention is examined with its interdisciplinary aspects. The second part focused on the factors that affect intention in interpersonal communication processes and the role of intention in interpersonal communication. In the following part, “The Concept of Intention in Interpersonal Communication Processes” was investigated qualitatively through the Delphi technique. Therefore, the research was conducted in two consecutive steps: obtaining data by semi-structured in-depth interview technique and then applying questionnaires based on the gathered data before. First-stage data acquired: the “Conceptual Framework Dimension of Intention” and “Interdisciplinary Relationship Dimension of Intention” appeared with “Theology” and “Interdisciplinary Relationship” themes, while the “Communication Dimension of Intention” was revealed with the themes of “Communication”, “Political Communication”, “Nonverbal Communication” and “Verbal Communication.” On the other hand, the “Interpersonal Communication Dimension of Intention” was associated with the “Perception-Intention Relationship”, “Aspect of Intention” and “Interpersonal Communication” themes. In addition, the “Communication Barrier Dimension of Intention” emerged with the themes of “Intention Reading” and “Interpersonal Communication Barrier.” The data obtained from semi-structured in-depth interviews with 18 academicians were analyzed through MAXQDA. After that, the questionnaire consisting of 36 statements, grounds from previous analysis, was developed and sent to the same respondents again. In this way, a model was proposed based on the syntheses of participants’ consensus on statements and the code maps.
