Herod Krallığı ve Kudüs

Abstract

Ortadoğu; insanlık tarihinin bilinen geçmişinin merkezidir. Dünya’nın nabzının attığı bu coğrafyada başrolde birkaç şehir bulunmaktadır. Üç ilahi dine göre mukaddes olan Kudüs de bu şehirlerden biridir. Bu sebeple tarih boyunca Kudüs’te hareketlilik ve mücadele bitmemiştir. Miladi asırlar başlamadan hemen önce bu şehir Roma İmparatorluğu ve Partlar arasında mücadelenin yaşandığı tampon bir bölge olmuştur. MÖ. 40 yılında Edomlu Herod, Roma’nın dostu ve müttefik kralı ilan edilmiş; MÖ. 37 yılında ise resmen Yahuda Kral’ı olmuştur. Hem bir Yahudi hem de bir Romalı olan Herod ile birlikte bölgede istikrar sağlanmıştır. Şehrin imarı ve düzenine büyük önem veren Herod, Kudüs’ü yeni baştan imar etmiştir. Şehre yeni bir silüet kazandıran Herod, tarihi boyunca Kudüs’ü en iyi inşa edenlerin başında gelmektedir. Bu çalışma, bölgenin tarihi ve kaderinde önemli rol oynayan Herod’un hayatı, krallık dönemi faaliyetleri, aile içi ilişkileri, Kudüs’ü yeni baştan imarı ve kurduğu diğer şehirleri ele almaktadır.

Middle east, center of the known human history. There are few leading cities in this geography where the World’s heart beats. Jerusalem is one of these cities as it is also precious for the 3 common religion. For that reason, Jerusalem was always center of struggle. This city lived as a tampon city between Rome Empire and Part for several ages B.C.. Herod from Edom has been announced as an ally of the Rome and King of Jerusalem in the year of B.C. 40; officially has been Judea King in the year of B.C. 37.. Herod has succeded the steadiness in the reagion as he was Jewish and Man of Rome. As he cared for the architecture and order in cities, had the Jerusalem re-constructed. Herod is the best contractor Jerusalem has ever seen, he made Jerusalem has it’s new silhouette. In this work; Herod’s life, his activities during his kingdom, family business, his re-construction of Jerusalem and other cities he has built up has taken place.
